damm pricey as well:eek:
Is it? A correct Spitfire or Hurricane would be the same price in these days.
But you are right, if there´s not everything´s allright with it, I wouldn´t pay that much.
There are replica labels and other parts of the grip around, so hard to say, what might be original.
As I remember right, this specific one was sold few weeks before. Seems the buyer didn´t take it at the end, whatever reason.
Take a look at a MIG 17 with this sort of grip and the red safety bracket.

Herbert
Seems, this specific one was used by the Russians.
As you might know, the factory producing them was at the eastern part of Germany.
The russian used them for MIG 15 and 17 as well.
The red colour at the safety bracket indicates a russian usage.
All screws at this grip are postwar.
All wartime had Halbrundkopf – screws.

Herbert
Pukka, That is a nive 109 panel. Do you have the missing parts to complete it?
Hello Peter
There are no missing parts.:D
The G-2 offered the holes for swapping the gun barrells and still the smaller holes for the pressurized cockpit of the G-1.
There´s also a small hole at the left side for the altitude warning lamp, which was left empty at G-2.

Herbert
I mean, when it would have an AH number or the brake lever, I´d understand that price. Seems I´d need a safe for my beauty 😀 .
Cheers,
Herbert
What a price! 😮
In the auction´s Bf 109 E panel there was a small later Fl 21118, not the correct, big early one.
Also the Propeller Verstellschalter could have possibly been the later one.
There was also a common 130° instead of the rare 160° temperature indicator. But there was a late Fuhrertochterkompass instead of the FK 5 compass. Not a bad change when you think about selling the instruments.

Herbert
So it´s wartime, congratulation!
Exept the small Führertochterkompass none of these rare instruments were in the lots.
And from the picture I could think, that the compass in the instrument lot was a good replica.
I at least expect the correct early Zuendschalter in my panel (lot 210) but could be a substitute.

Herbert
If you look on the old Airsam site, the 6A/760 on there has a broad arrow mark instead of a Kings crown, when did that change ?
It´s not easy to find out, when they changed but my guess is around 1944.

Herbert
Hello Elliott
Regulary the panel builders are using replicas of the Schusszaehlerkasten SZKK3.
But there was one at eBay (the first one I saw) maybe still for sale.

The early Zuendschalter for Bf 109E to G4 is very rare, currently I know two people looking desperatly for it.
The small Fuehrertochterkompass is a piece every Luftwaffe collector is looking for. There are many replicas around, show me pictures before you buy.
You could try to make a deal with Matthias:

As far as I know these were introduced 1944.
A friend of mine got this one with all the instruments exept the ASI.
It has king´s crown and the instruments were from 1943.

Bf 109
Would only have to reactivate my pilot licence….ha, ha.:D
(I guess I would kill myself with taxiing the 2000HP)
The early Spit BFP (blindflying panels) were the rectangular Mk I 6A/616.
Later they were cut, so they´ve got the radius on the top “to facilitate installation when the panel is fitted closely to the contour of the cockpit”
(Taken from A.P.1275A Vol. I 1948). They were now called Mk IA 6A/760.
Later there was also the radiused Mk II 6A/1336 made of brass and swaged vertically and horizontally to increase rigidity.

Take a look at lot 108 from the Collector´s Sale.
