Hello SOC
The only info about SENIOR CITIZEN i have is this: (from http://personal.inet.fi/cool/foxfour/black/aircraft.html)
Boeing “Senior Citizen”
The codename “Senior Citizen” was originally thought to be associated with the rumoured Aurora reconnaissance plane, but it is now thought to be a stealth V/STOL special forces transport aircraft. Boeing and Northrop probably participated in a DARPA competition in the late 1980s and Boeing’s proposal was chosen for development. Funding for the project was ceased in 1993, presumably before the aircraft was ready. However, there are some sighting reports of a large, slow moving double delta winged aircraft. A drawing by an anynomous Boeing employee seems to descriebe this plane and it resembles a published Boeing study for such a vehicle.
The attached pic is very old, I would say I saw it first about 1995
Iranian F-5 Upgrade – the Simorgh
Why did nobody mention the Simorgh from Iran? Perhaps the double-fin layout make it far superior to all other beefed-up F-5?
btw we discussed the Simorgh already in another thread, here:
http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=28195&highlight=simorgh
This Lockheed proposal reminds me of the english FOAS project, the Future Offensive Air System, which already proposed to replace a bomber by soemthing else, e.g. by a cruse-missiles cariing C-17 or an UCAV.
btw: we had this thread before, started by Moskit, under the title “USAF Interim Strike” and contending the full text, here:

Hello SOC
#3 sounds like an enlarged SENIOR CITIZEN.
could you please give us more information, or even a pic of what you mean by “SENIOR CITIZEN” ?
thanks!
British stealth
Not much is known about the english stealth prototype, the Replica. Every further information is welcome!
European stealth ??
I realy doubt that europe has the political will and is able to converge on such a high risk, long term project as a stealth aircraft. Reading the history of the Eurofigther (and the Rafale, and the Grippen…) doesn’t give much hope on european unity.
afaik, the Lampiriade (see below) was far away from leaving the ground
Exactly this is the really challenge in designing a HCV (Hypersonic Cruise Vehicle) like the one defined in project FALCON, which we discussed here:

Hello edisonone
we discussed this wind-tunnel model before in

Hi Sean
feel like a child on X-mas when I’m asked to name my whishes!
So please take pics as detailed as possible of my long-time favorites, the Tacit Blue, the Dark Star and the Bird of Prey
many thanks!

Hello Dandpatta
For stealth-reasons everybody has to cant the vertical fins away from the right angle (in- or outward), what inevitably leads to 2 fins.
another interresting object in a wind tunnel, found on

What is it? Any kind of comment very wellcome!

“I have a maybe silly question !!”
If you ask questions that you think may be silly, don’t wonder if you get answers like this…
Indian 5th generation aircraft
and not russian is the title of this topic, so we should talk here about the MCA and not about the PAK-FA
result of a short googeling:
The Medium Combat Aircraft [MCA] is projected as the replacement for the Jaguar and Mirage 2000 fleets in the IAF. It is under design at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) in Bangalore. The MCA will cost $2 billion to develop and will be a tailless delta design with two engines, combined with a thrust vectoring control capability. It is hoped that the engines on the aircraft will develop a thrust-to-weight ratio of 7.8:1. Although it is unclear which company will be selected to supply the engines; SNECMA, Klimov and General Electric have been identified as potential suppliers

Very good explication for how verbal information and there interpretation could have led to the shape of the Testor F-19!
To fightingirish:
Thanks for your link to the KIT INDEX. I found many kits on it I’ve never seen before. But to my surprise the most fantastic of them all was missing: the kit of the
SR-75 PENETRATOR (=”Brilliant Buzzard”) with the XR-7 THUNDERDART (=Aurora)
on it’s back! An, even worse, the whole branch ITALERI was missing too.
To give an impression, see attached pics.
