I knew one in Cambridge who was very into Dx & had the kind of body that would make the Pope kick a nun..;)

Just remembered her name, she was known as Mouse… & I think someone from Area 51 may have been tapping it.. 😎

I think there are bigger problems that the hair falling off ya sack from getting intimate with instrument faces.. I remember a WIWOL looking at a well known Lightning in the UK & pointing out one of the missiles hanging from it still contained the proximity fuse…
…so be extra careful around Dx….;)

If he doesn’t sell it this time, he’ll probably relist it as having belonged to Douglas Bader.
…It seems he found it under a hotel bed in Liverpool….

Surely it would be silver? 🙂

As for other houseboats – Britain and Australia seem to lead in terms of the exotic turned into houseboats !

When I was a kid back in the ’60’s I well remember a load of MTB’s around the Southampton/Fareham area converted into houseboats, also a few around the backwaters of Walton On Naze in Essex…

In the past few days I’ve been buzzed by a B1 in full burners & a couple of F22’s.

******! going to have to rethink the stripes/star & bar bit….. maybe carry the dk green back along the top body line all the way to the tail lights, stripes below middle body line & bottom edge of ‘bar’ along the top of middle body line….arrghh…MX-X either side of stripes… & unsure about the black stripe on the fin… maybe a black stripe across the tailgate….
I can picture it in my mind, know where to mask it etc, just kinda hard to put into words…

… where did I put my meds?

edit: serial # top rear of body…lemme find a decent side view of the vehicle & you should be able to picture it how it will all look……

    ah ha, here we go:

It was hard to work out what was CGI and what was real.

Really? I’ve seen some trailers on TV here in the US & it looks like a second rate PlayStation game..

Presume you’re talking about the ‘old’ 1981/’82 T.V. series starring Roy Marsden as ‘Jack Ruskin’ ???

er, I don’t think so…. at least not judging by some of the cars on the show that I’ve seen.
It’s some utter tripe about a small airline flying 737’s to Malaga etc…..No idea when it was filmed tho, I assumed it was newer as I dont remember ever seeing it when I lived in the UK up until ’91…
DC3 was OD with no markings on it at all that I could see, no invasion stripes, star & bar, roundels or anything….(probably movie paint….)

Of course the question was then raised, as I expected, as to whether DX was safe for flying in view of the number of accidents in the past few years.

I think aircraft crash near airfields for the same reason cars tend to crash on roads instead of in the middle of lakes & boats tend to sink while in water instead of drydock…..Maybe someone will point this out to CEN etc?
