Brit jet, served with Swiss, in RNZAF colours, as served in Singapore!

The fatal crash in Oz was a day or two after our flight, and it was especially spooky to hear about.
This flight was a great experience, only rivalled for me by my hop in DH89B Dominie ZK-AKY (which had the bonus of a Fox Moth and DH-90 Dragonfly for company) at Omaka Airshow 2009.
In yesterday’s “Sunday Express” there was an article about the delayed “Dambusters” film. Apparently the release date will now be 2016 and Peter Jackson has reportedly been acquiring “militaria” for use in the film such as “German anti-aircraft guns.”
PJ has increased the price of replica/restored/historical military equipment in NZ over the last decade or more (he keeps on buying stuff). He had a 88mm FLAK at Omaka 2009.

By the way the train just upthread is at Gisborne, NZ
The little LED lights are still there, I think someone forgot to switch off the cleaning lights. Must have been your lucky day.
MOTAT in Auckland has variable lighting (i.e. the overall light level varies from day to day), with the brightest being marked something like ‘Cleaning Lighting’. As aircraft have been moved into or assembled in the expanded exhibition area, I’ve taken advantage of the higher lighting to get better photos with my DSLR (without tripod).
The ads help pay for this ‘free’ forum. It’s not a cheap thing to keep going.
Whilst the majority of old photos have made it across, a few that we’re posted in the last few weeks did get lost. The ability to add attachments was turned off, but it appears that it didn’t work in every case. Another example of a problem wth the old software unfortunately.
Errol, as I said above, post any specific issues here, and the mods will take it up with the team at Key.
Recent attachments are the only issue I’ve noticed, if it was a transitional thing, that’s fine, cheers.

Tried that and still waiting reply. Think some of the issues could have been resolved by giving the Forum users a warning that things were going to look different and a sticky ‘New Forum FAQ’ so the less computor literate amoung use can understand the meaning of the different colour envelopes. Personally I find the pastel colours very hard to read on my PC and the text is not ‘black’ enough.
…
I’ve just had a look around for how to ‘tell the Webmaster’, rather than dozens of people spending time looking, how about saying exactly how? Email address, web-form, what?
A well-labelled place for the Webmaster to communicate known issues seems obviously useful for both users and those having to identify and deal with issues.
HAs the FAQ been updated at all, and if yes, a pointer to changed entries would be handy.
There seems to be an problem with attached images, for some users, for some images. Known problem with certain OS/browser/add-in combinations? Only applies to a few images, we aren’t investigating further? Please give us more examples so we can figure out what is going on? It’s a free forum, don’t bother us?
In my own case, I can see the image in http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?121583-And-Now-For-Something-Completely-Different-Thread-MK3&p=1980050#post1980050 but not those in e.g. http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?121583-And-Now-For-Something-Completely-Different-Thread-MK3&p=2014813#post2014813 and the following post.

Both bodies recovered, confirmed as Eric and Kathy Hertz.

Most of the wreckage was also lifted 56m up off the sea floor today and will stay on the specialist dive vessel HMNZS Manawanui until it docks in Auckland.

“The Police investigation from here is on behalf of the Coroner where as the aircraft itself will be transported to Auckland by the Navy on behalf of the Civil Aviation Authority where accident investigators will now take charge of the investigation,” {Waikato Police Operations Manager, Inspector John Kelly} said.
“Family and friends of the Hertz’s have been informed of the recovery and expressed their gratitude for the efforts of all the agencies involved.”
One of the navy divers was injured during the wreckage recovery yesterday.

Yes, more up-to-date report on discovery of wreckage.

The bodies are assumed inside, but have not yet been located. RIP
I’d only first seen the Staggerwing airborne the week before.
Well crud, I’ve been taking photos of an ex-Swiss Venom for the last two days (but missed my chance), and I won’t have Natter replica photos for around 18 hours.
This V2 went up a pole and blew up?

Oh – OK – thanks for that.
Shame this sort of thing can’t be harmonised though.
You want the most restrictive elements of every country’s regs to apply to all fliers world-wide?
For those of you yearning for a Spit in desert colours:
ZK-WDQ, CBAF.5487 owned by Doug Brooker and is painted in RAF desert colours with the markings of FL-A, a Mk IX flown by the New Zealand Squadron Leader Colin Gray, C/O of 81 Squadron when based in Tunisia in mid-1943
