Another one, now from an AMX biplace (A-1B).
Note the same camouflage as the F-5.
The camouflage adopted by Brazilian fighter fleet will be standard.

    Franck66,

Wonderful picture, even with the refuelling probe, it is still one of the most beautiful jets around.
Fortunately, I saw one of them here in Brazil. They made a stop (a group of Mirages F1CT and Mirages 2000D) at Recife (Northeast of Brazil) en route to US, to participate in Red Flag.

The Chilean declination? Oh, they are upset for not being included on the picture published on AFM at the time of the Cruzex. Shows only the Mirages from Brazil, Argentina and France.
    🙂

    I’m kidding

    m.ileduets,

Thanks for the special welcome, they’re amazing. I have a baseballcap from a Swiss AF Hornet squadron, 11 sqn.
I will send to you some F5 pictures from Brazil.

The picture of the Hornet is wonderful.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    🙂

    Hi to all

I´m also new in this forum. I´m very enthusiastic about military fighter jets since I was kid, when I saw four Brazilian air Forces F-5s flying in close formation over the sea returning home, to Santa Cruz AB in Rio de Janeiro. It was an amazing view, at that time, to a 12 years old boy (was long ago).

My preferences goes to the AMX (here in Brazil called A-1), the JA-37 Viggen and the Super Hornet.

    Phantom II

In fact is the contrary…..the F-102 is the Delta Dagger and the F-106 is the Delta Dart.

I think not only “Top Gun”.

A movie that caused a great impact on me, much more than Top Gun, was one filmed on USS Nimitz back in the 70´s with Kirk Douglas as commander of the ship, James Farentino as CAG (I forgot the name of the movie) and Martin Sheen as the civilian.
The film is a fiction when the ship return to WWII prior to the japanese attack on Pearl harbour.
There is a lot of flying sequences performed. mainly, by Tomcats of Jolly rogers of former VF-84 now VF-103.
One of the pilots involved in flying sequences was then Commander Edward Andrews who years later, if i´m not wrong, was shot down over Lebanon in an A-7 Corsair II.

Probably FAP will send the Mirage 2000P, but, could come up with the SU-25, Mig-29, Mirage 5 or even the SU-22.

South Africa operates only the Cheetahs with 2 squadron.

France will come with the Mirage 2000 as they did before in previous exercises (operations Mistral and Cruzex 2002).

The Uruguayan air force operates only type of jet, the A-37 Dragonfly.

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) will participate with its F-5s, AMXs (here called A-1), Mirage IIIs, R-99A and R-99B (military version of the civilian jet EMB-145)

Blackcat, there are good pictures of Brazilian Navy A-4 at the site http://www.skyhawk.org
