I agree she wasn’t a great role model in life Baz, but the fact that it ruined her career and probably claimed her life is a clear illustration of what these problems can do to you. Those in the spotlight who take drugs and drink heavily etc are rather like extremist politicians in that the more coverage you give them, the bigger fools they make of themselves.
I didn’t think I’d find myself commenting on a thread about Amy Winehouse, but the news today is just tragic. Whatever you think about her and her music, it can’t be anything but a tragedy when somebody is beaten by thier addictions (presuming that this is the case).
As Bruce pointed out, the creative and the self destructive often go hand in hand. I feel nothing but sympathy for her, troubled as she was.

I think there’s still another based not far away at Shoreham, and in a similar US Navy scheme, hence the clarification of ID.
Sorry to hear about this incident, I’m glad the damage is limited to the aeroplane.
Great stuff Stephen, I like the wing rib/spar detail especially, and the upper wing staining. Very neat!
Is this a generic model or is it based on a real aircraft?
As I understand it, yes the Mustang was already well established in US service, but it was also due to the relatively short range of the P63. The internal fuel capacity was pretty small, so much so that there’s one restored ’63 that goes everywhere with drop tanks.
Range didn’t matter so much to the Soviets as they were operating pretty close to the front lines.
Ok, thanks. If I remember right, the original idea when AirSpace first opened was that the area she’s currently in was going to become a restoration area for airframes like the shack and Victor, and it was then going to become part of the main AirSpace display area. Do I remember wrong, or has the plan changed?
Just giving my above question a bump as I feel it’s central to the whole decision making process on the Shack- what ‘other things’ do IWM want the space for??
Yes, I would agree that they could be Ju88-C nightfighters, but my gut feeling is that they’re A-model bombers going by the colour scheme. Nightfighters were usually painted up in a carefully applied scheme, intended as they were for night work. However those in the photo look typical of Luftwaffe bombers hastily ‘blacked up’ for night bombing during the 1940/ ’41 Blitz period. Just my gut feeling!
A good example of similar markings on the link below:

There are also the two Ju52-3m’s operated by Ju-Air in Switzerland, both Junkers-built. They also have a third CASA-built example.
I last used the bus back in 2003, so not the most up-to-date appraisal, but it seemed to work pretty well. Yes there were queues, but there were a number of buses running the route and so the wait was reasonable. I was on a train at Cambridge within 45 mins of show end.
The French SeaFury which performed last year is the one with a red spinner and a polished metal cowling ring. The one with the smoke generators only arrived in Europe late last year, having been restored/built by Sanders Aeronautics. It has a white spinner. Any help?
I agree the aircraft in the background looks like a Ju88, although I think it is a bomber variant. It looks very much like the kind of ‘blacking up’ job that was done on Luftwaffe bombers in late 1940/early ’41 for night raids againt the UK.
Is it dual control ?
Arc
The IWM’s static example has dual controls, although that one is a post-war MS.500. I don’t know whether Feisler built any examples with dual controls.
Thanks mate. Why didn’t I check the RNHF website myself?? Coz I’m a twit…:D
The silver example is the P63C still operated by the CAF:

N191H is now a restoration project with the Dixie Wing of the CAF:
