I believe the Kite 2 is BGA564 ex Rodi Morgan.

If its the one i’m thinking of the owner wants to restore it one day. Its not for sale. He has another one that he fly’s. There is a Kite 2a for sale in Ireland on glider pilot network at the moment.

The nearest I can to is FP/4002A-2. Is of a Miles Gemini.

My father went a Q6 at Luton airport at the end of the war or just after as he found a letter to a German woman, which he sent on through a POW working in Dunstable. Dad always thought the Q6 belonged to Irvin as the seats had parachutes fitted in the upholstery. So no need to put a chute just buckle up the seat.

I don’t have a contact number. But their is a email address. enquiry@glidingheritage.org.uk.

Well done. I must get their one day. But don’t really like airshows unless i’m working with an aircraft or glider.
Dave
That always the way. I love to look at uncovered wood aircraft. But the don’t fly that way. Good to see you are getting some where. The Kite is coming along slowly.
Dave
It was on the BBC China, last week.

My dad use to watch them parachuting from Virginias at Henlow.

The Jet Ranger was more work , than loading people on GTM. G-AGSH was flown up by one of the Russavia pilots to be put in an Auction in the 1980’s.

I did see a film the other week where the Germans using a Hawker Hurricane to shoot down a Hudson. James Cagney was in it.

Remember him nearly losing Sally B at Duxford once. The day the Invader crashed I was flying to Old Warden in a Jackaroo.

Have you asked anybody on the Vintage Glider Club on FaceBook? A lot of people look on that. It may be of some help.
