    The Colditz glider was flown by the late John Lee in the TV programme. John Lee also built most of it. Its now at Flixton. Derrick may have flown it but not in the programme. He did fly a Cayley glider in another TV programme.

    As far as I know he is around? But I havent seen him for a few year’s.

    Profile publications Gloster Gauntlet have a 3 veiw colour of a 17 sdn on th inside cover. Also two photos of camouflaged Gauntlets taken in 1938. See poor quality scan.

    In Alex Crawfords book Bristol Bulldog & Gloster Gauntlet there is a colour side veiw of a pre war 17 sdn Gauntlet. But in 1938 they where camouflaged.

    Steve, What about the one that was at Bletchley Park. We did have people that saw it. But never any photo’s.

    The Hurricane tail wheel. Where used on the EoN Olympia 2b, vintage glider.

    I did meet a gentlman when we had our museum at Bletchley Park, some 10 years ago or more. Who claimed he knew of buried Stirlings some where abroad . He would not say where as it was due to the political situation. I dont know if he was telling the truth or not. He was more believeble than many other people who told stories.

    I nealy saw sally B go in at Duxford. Don Bullock was doing a very low turn. When it started to slide slip. He only just got away with it. All the commonators said what a good pilot he was and how he had crashed on a Iceberg. That was untill he crashed the B-26 Invader.

    Dont think the Prototype Kite 1 will be ready for Lasham. If its anywhere near we may bring it just to rig it. So people can see it.
