Can’t beat a good Carry On film. Camping is my favourite of the series. Bernard Bresslaw and Sid James are two of my all-time heroes!

Sadly I think this aircraft used up its luck at La Ferte… Horrible to see another 109 in this state. 🙁
I think that’s the same big green brolly I was tempted to set light to at Kemble this year…
Actually, I was thinking of this the other night. Rather than a curry, how about a bite and a few drinkies at the excellent Woodforde’s brewery/Fur and Feather pub in Woodbastwick. I was there on Friday night, and it really is top dollar. The beer is truly excellent.
Taxis back to Norwich wouldn’t be prohibitively expensive if shared.
However, I’m equally up for a stinking bugger of a curry. Bengal Spice in Norwich would be my preferred curry house of choice…

Parking and traffic was excellent. I arrived at 8am without a hitch, and left on the Saturday at 6:45pm. From the North Car park to the A11 took me no more than five minutes. And a mate who left immediately the flying finished went from the car part to M11 in ten minutes.
Considering the big crowd, the IWM deserve bit fat pats on the back!
I’d never make the assumption that I’d see any of that from a British airshow crowd.
It’s a moot point – respect for those older than ourselves ain’t what it should be. Just glad that I was brought up the right way.
Egg chasery is not our national game – so the majority of us Brits give not one jot about the Lions humiliation. We’d give the Kiwis a spanking should we play them at the World Game in a competitive match…

Does common decency provide one with eyes in the back of the head and WWII veteran radar?
Common decency is what makes people give up seats on buses and trains for old and infirm people (veterans or not). As far as I’m aware, fancy radar is not required!
Common decency should have meant “asking” wasn’t required.
I’ve never seen as many windbreaks and stepladders at Duxford as I did on Saturday. The perpetrators are arrogant and selfish beyond belief. At the LWH end there was one “enclosure”, for thats what it amounted too, stretching at least eight feet long, and around five feet deep. On closer inspection, it housed no more than five t**sers. Not sure what the IWM can do about it, but it makes the blood boil. Equally bad are those mini-tent things which are growing in popularity.
I was on-site by 8am on Saturday, and even at that stage a crowdline space was at a premium.
