If it’s a solo display, I’m really looking forward to it. That’s one good-looking machine.
Rain or shine tomorrow I am really in the mood now! 🙂
Any word on the Connie? Was Stewart’s “sighting”/”hearing” a case of mistaken ID? She flew in on the Saturday morning last year.
Flew Canberras and Hawks I fink?

A top dollar selection there Dan. The two-seat Spit is especially well captured.
I’ll be displaying Saturday only… 😉
Planning to be a Saturday boy myself this year…
Indeed, another one gone. 🙁 Sad day.
His story was told in that live Time Team dig last year – thought he handled being thrust unwillingly into the public glare extremely well, even though it was clear he was uncomfortable talking about his heroism.
Like the Old Buck shots – the conditions were certainly challenging for photography yesterday!
I’d be suprised if there were.
Old Buck is quite good for photography – get a decent place on the crowdline in front of the tower/restaurant, and that’s great for some really close taxi shots. Reckon I might try a bit further down to the left this year, where the classic cars were parked last year, depending which end of the runway’s in use.
http://www.airshows.co.uk/content/reviews/2004/oldbuck/oldbuck.htm is my review of the 2004 show. Excuse the pics, they were from a non-DSLR Finepix S5000, and I don’t think the links to full size images are working anymore…
There was a Skyraider at Kemble – are there two active in the UK?
EDIT – Old Buck’s website says John Beattie is down to fly the Skyraider on Sunday. Reckon that would make it Kennet’s ship, which appeared at Kemble on Sunday… Unless I’m very wrong!
