The “substitute” crosses they put in model kits look ridiculous. Yes, the hakenkreuz is a symbol of evil, but its also a part of history. Its like covering up the bit in the Bayeux Tapestry where Harold cops the arrow! Or changing the arrow to one of those kids ones with a suction pad on the front.
The PMDG kit is fantastic. Well worth the readies.
How sad is this?? The Daily Star has a centre-spread “interview” with the bloody Frog!!
Sick and tired of this bloody frog. Apparently the ringtone goes for £5 a time, and the moron who created it is £10m richer…

Lovely stuff Dan. 🙂
…bump
Having been away from the forum for a week or so, I was told about the 109/Buchon clip at the weekend and decided to have a look today.
The pilot is one lucky man – that’s a loss of control, no two ways about it. There is NO excuse for throwing such a rare aircraft around. Display her gently. Displaying does NOT mean aerobat. Let the crowd see a few topside passes. There’s no need to roll and loop the aircraft. I’ve no idea of the geography of La Ferte Alais, but I bet there’s not too much gap between those trees he disappears behind and the ground.
Agree fully with those who said that at a British show he’d have been told to land immediately.
Oh, and it should have a swastika on the fin too… 😉
I wonder when the first 262 rolls out with correct markings….I was looking at the Planes of Fame’s new Storch last weekend and even that has the full markings…We must end this PC nonsense and revisionist cleaning up of WWII history. Not a Nazi here, but you get the point.
Agree 100%. This literal “airbrushing of history” is just PC nonsense.
Despite the two torrential storms, Monday’s weather was actually half decent for photography, especially at the airport, where the Vulcan taxi run was bathed in glorious sunshine!
Breaking news – JFK dead! 😀
Got quite into astronomy when I was a wee ‘un. Read loads of books and can still name most of the constellations. There’s nothing better than looking up at a starry night sky miles from any light pollution… Mind you, I’d better stop going on, or I’ll start off on my other hobby – UFOs…

Stevie Hadlow’s first one’s an absolute corker – moody skies can turn a good shot into a great one…
I tend to agree with you Mike – it’d be a tragedy if she missed that engagement though.
Common sense, hopefully, will prevail.
At the moment no. As opposed to know, which means something entirely different.
If only it was common. Unfortunately the “Claim Farmers” have convinced many people that they really shouldn’t have any of this uncommon sense and that everything that happens to them is someone else’s fault.
The “Dark Age” that Mike J refers to is already upon us. Just spend an hour watching daytime satellite TV and you’ll see the adverts. “Dozy bint slips over on a polished floor – call Ambluance Chasers.com and we’ll get you thousands of pounds”.
I can’t believe a humble tripod can seriously be termed a health and safety hazard? I always believed tripods were banned to stop professional photographers taking pictures of exhibits and flogging them, to the detriment of museum shops? I’m sure I read this in regard to East Fortune?
