    Epinal American Cemetary

Just had a look at the ABMC site for Epinal

    http://www.abmc.gov/cemeteries/cemeteries/ep.php

and like all of them its a beautiful and dignified place for the burial of such heroes . I know that one pilot who flew a P51 on the Ruhland mission -1st Sept 44 only recently had his remains discovered and has now been repatriated ,he apears to have been buried by civilians after the crash . I dont know the situation with Lt Winkleman I am afraid

    B17 Flight

Just wondering if B17 Buff made any choices yet from the several options available – a 17 ride is about $425 now and at Chino a 20 min hope in a P51 Is around $725 – pretty good value considering operating costs these days

    17 RIDE

Enjoyed Gee Dee’s description also -Sensory Saturation is a great term to use

I enjoyed my second ride on 909 better (first on Yankee Lady ) as I was less emotional and excited -it was awesome being sat behind the pilots on engine start , taxi and take off .Mac did an amazingly smooth landing

My friend in LA – Brian Thrailkill is a 909 Plane Sponsor and is very passionate about 909 – think he has done about 28 or so hops on her now .

I reccomend doing it ASAP as the FAA get more uptight each year ! -security , safety ,etc

Jules – hope your keeping good – you do a great job supporting 909 !

    Best …Ron

    Prop discs

Gareth – awesome shots particularly P51Suzy – I agree with many about portraying props as discs – either in art or in photography as it gives the subject a much more dynamic sense of movement and realism , the naked eye doesn’t usually capture a prop like most cameras do – ie “Black moustaches”or spikes so its refreshing to see someone actively go out and aim to capture a prop arc as a disc

    Breighton Pics

Great shots and a good representation of what flew – particularly like the shot of Janie tucking her gear up , nice shot of P51 Suzy – noteable fact that you can have a flight in her for £ 700 for half an hour “Chock to Chock “

Something very special about Breighton that makes you want to return – yesterday was my 3rd year on the trot
