I’ve done some low flying as well but only as part of a risk assessed and properly approved test programme. – not showing off like some of these idiots.
Anyway, here’s one that isn’t particularly low but a photo taken a few seconds later would have been worth seeing. I can’t remember where I found it. On an old Recognition Journal I think.
I haven’t flown as low as some of these clowns but nor would I want to.
This thread is good for demonstrating that stupid flying isn’t restricted to a select few. It seems to be rife throughout the world. It looks spectacular – until it goes wrong.
Remember that the low flying altitude record has only ever been equalled, never bettered.
Perhaps an actual reading of the OP’s post might have been helpful.
Here, I’ve done it for you (my bold)
discapline (sic) in the army currently for breaking rules
Why can’t folks just answer his question instead of trying to be clever (and failing)

Simple question then. Did Conservative Alan Clark write a book called The Donkeys about WW1? That isn’t “blaming”, it is a fact.
It is this view that Gove is attempting to blame on the “left” despite it being perpetuated by one of his party.
Here’s a link to the article in case you haven’t read it yet. It is Gove who introduced the left/right aspect of this debate. Not me.
It would also be useful if you didn’t fall into the same trap as so many others do on this forum by trying to belittle those with whom you disagree.

I think not.
The phrase actually predates WW1 and goes back to the Crimea. But it was Joan Littlewood and the execrable “Oh What A Lovely War” that embedded it in the British consciousness to the detriment of fact and reality.
Moggy
Isn’t Wikipedia useful……
My point is that Alan Clark (Tory) is, in Gove’s mind, apparently guilty of perpetuating some of left wing conspiracy against the British establishment during WW1. This rather shoots down his whole argument. Again.
bazv. Grow up….. Again

No, he wasn’t right to speak out. He has been proved wrong time and time again. He needs to do his own job and leave teaching to teachers.
It’s a bit rich to say “‘Left-wing academics all too happy to feed those myths by attacking Britain’s role in the conflict” when it was Tory Alan Clark that popularized the phrase “lions lead by donkeys” and how dare Gove try and suggest that somehow the “left” belittle the heroics of the many millions who died when nothing could be further from the truth. How dare he suggest that somehow Tories are the only ones that have the right to support our war heroes. It is that sort of crap that makes me angry.

Once again he gives the public little credit for thinking we all get our history from “entertainment” programmes. I think most of the public know that “Blackadder” and “Oh What a Lovely War” were not supposed to be documentaries
He would be better off dealing with school funding and failing schools than meddling in that which he clearly knows very little.

I think someone has found their copy of the Frank Carson Annual 1973.
