It doesn’t sound like the US position is any different to what it has been in the past.

John Kerry’s statement in full for those who like to make up their own minds rather than have it made up for them.

“I am not going to comment, nor is the president on a referendum, that has yet to take place and hasn’t taken place.

“Our position on the Falklands has not changed. The US recognises de-facto UK administration of the islands but takes no position of the question of sovereignty claims.

“We support cooperation between UK and Argentina on practical matters, we continue to urge a peaceful resolution.”

Nobody’s saying that horse meat shouldn’t be eaten. The scandal is about the fact that the meat sold was labelled improperly and entered the food chain possibly illegally. If it did then the normal safeguards about meat fit for human consumption would not have been applied with the result that potentially all sorts might have entered the human food chain unknowingly.

A suggestion that this is somehow convenient for the government to cover up the NHS Staffs story is clearly preposterous as anyone who watches the news will realize.

    A test.

Yesterday, my wife read me a little of a report in the local rag. There is a school in Peterborough, where not a single pupil speaks English.
We, or should I say, this Government has lost the plot completely, basic English should be a pre cursor for anyone of school age to gain entry into any school.
    Jim
    Lincoln .7

No, that isn’t true at all. All the pupils can speak English but as a second language.

Perhaps you’re right about the age of jurors after all.

Ah, But you forget, the Scots are a very Canny race. One still owes me a quid from the 60s, tighter than a Ducks proverbial.
Not all of them though, just the ones who chase and catch the Haggis.:D
    Jim,
    Lincoln .7

Who is tighter? The one who borrowed a pound and didn’t return it or the one who still remembers it 40 years later?

I’d love to see a return to nationalised utilities, but we can never again be at the mercy of trade unions.

Public sector greed is to blame for privatisation and the destruction of our industries, NOT Thatcher.

And that is probably the biggest load of nonsense I have seen posted here (and that’s saying something).

You mean you’ve found someone who thinks like you do, a kindred spirit. Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later.

    Now, that ignore function…..

Do they all have an agenda?

    Steven

A cursory glance through the list would suggest that yes, they do have an agenda.

    Rather disappointing news this morning.

The cracks are starting to show

We need UKIP to split the Tory vote.
