Moggy’s post was indeed having a go at Tony Blair in a thread about Jimmy Savile’s paedophilia. Inappropriate on so many levels.
Politicians have been accused of making political capital out of this. Well, funny old thing, look what’s happening here.
This thread isn’t about Tony Blair and to somehow equate Tony Blair with the actions of Jimmy Savile is a disgrace.

What is sad is that a serious thread about a serious subject has been well and truly sullied by a pathetic and sick joke.

I’m keen to see where politicians are making political capital out of this. All I’ve heard is MPs reflecting public opinion. The British public are genuinely shocked by the scale of the allegations involving some very famous and trusted people and posts such as yours seriously misjudge the public mood.

I wonder if Key are as keen to see this on their forum. It may not make a difference in in the scheme of things but that has never meant that you can post what you like.

The difference being that Moggy has made a party political point.
It shouldn’t really matter what side of the political spectrum you are on. Inappropriate is still inappropriate.

There are many dark things that require a sense of humour to see through the gloom. This isn’t one of them and I’m afraid it shows a serious lack of judgement.

That’s really pretty low. From a mod as well. Shame on you.

Two pilots from Czechoslovakia come to the UK to fight over a woman as well as fight the Germans. Nicely filmed war/love story. It’s all there, humour, anger, sadness and Spitfires. Great stuff.

The Fifth Element (1997)

Bruce Willis saves the world in this fabulous looking Luc Besson sci-fi extravaganza. With costumes by Jean-Paul Gaultier it was never going to be a shrinking violet sort of movie. As it never takes itself too seriously it is never less than than great fun.

The only emotion I get from either image is sadness. None of the images project any sort of lion-type aggressiveness to me. I prefer the colour image for what it’s worth.

And you don’t feel that your inference, that I care more about an unfunny entertainer’s language than Savile’s behaviour, is an insult?

The fact that you have attempted to divert this debate by making some sort of pious anti-swearing comment leads me to my own conclusion.

The vast majority of the best comedians have left this planet, and had no need to pepper their acts with swear words. Fact.

If you like, start a thread about comedians, dead or alive and bad language.

The rest of us can then continue the debate about Jimmy Savile.

What Jerry Sadowitz and others have said suggests a cover-up of a monumental kind within the entertainment industry in general and the BBC in particular. I wonder what other famous names are sitting nervously, scanning the news channels as we speak.
