Why do you feel it necessary to resort to insult?
Children have been abused by a serial paedophile and you’re having a problem with the language used by a comedian? You need to have a serious realignment of priorities, not mention the fact that you’ve completely and utterly missed the point about Jerry Sadowitz was saying. Also, you were warned about the language but you clicked anyway and now you’re complaining?

By the way, the best comedians on the planet use swear words. Fact.
    A list of great comedians

Warning: many of those listed use swear words in their acts.

It gets them interested in Engineering. I’ve met many a youngster through volunteering for VTTSC who’s taken an interest.

It seems to be rather more than inspire though.

XH558 should be at the heart of a new project that will inspire and educate new generations of engineers.

The Vulcan is no use at all in training engineers. Only the naive would think so.

How is seeing a Vulcan going to teach anyone about CAD, PCBs, and modern production methods? It isn’t – simple as that

And I’m wondering just how much of the engineering in a 1950s vintage Vulcan is relevant in educating tomorrow’s engineers.

Why? Quite simply because it’s being voiced in an alleged comedy routine, liberally sprinkled with unnecessary foul language, and, if you listen to the audience’s laughter, I’d say that they’re not taking it seriously, having gained the impression that he’s just being abusive against a fellow “celebrity,” whom he views as fair game.
Do we know, for certain, that he was banned for this routine, or was he simply banned because his foul mouth had become tiresome?

This was recorded in 1987 quite early in Jerry Sadowitz’s career. According to those who know, the routine appeared on an album called Gobsh**e that was withdrawn for fear of libel (ironic or what).
You have someone being accused of some the worse things adults can do and you’re worried about foul language? Jeez….. I think a sense of perspective is called for here.

    Explain this then.

someone has to pay and it is Scottish taxpayers but more to point, English taxpayers

Why “more to the point”. The fact that Scottish taxpayers pay their way is less “to the point” in your eyes? The block grant given to Scotland is allowed to be spent as the Scottish government sees fit. If they wish to fund free care for the elderly then good for them. You should be asking not why the Scots have free care for the elderly but why the English don’t have it.
As Ken Shabby says, maybe that sort of care is too “socialist” for the English

Two 9 milly rounds a piece would make me feel better

Fortunately the rule of law isn’t designed to make you feel better. The “hang em high” brigade would have seen the innocent as well as the guilty executed.
Have a look at the case of Stefan Kiszko and see if capital punishment is still a good idea.

Reading that old thread that Andy linked it is sad that that so many knew and yet were unable to say anything.

This may not be on Youtube for long but someone was willing to stand up and say what they knew.

Do not click if strong language offends

The worst aspect about the Jimmy Savile case is that he is not able to answer for his crimes. However, I’m happy that his reputation is in tatters. I guess that will have to do.

So English tax payers pay for Scottish car homes do they? You really need to stop getting your “facts” from the Daily Mail.

Anyone thinking about their future should investigate “tenants in common” as it is a way of stopping your council taking your home from you to pay for care.

Fascinating. It was the EU that won the prize not NATO though. It must be a good decision as it has annoyed Nigel Farage. :diablo:

And I thought NATO was to protect Europe from the Warsaw Pact. If it made allies from former enemies then good.
The European Union is designed to promote closer ties within Europe rather just allies.

NATO has been around a lot longer than the EU has it? I guess to some 3 years is a lot longer.
