The Shackleton would be much more appropriate in the Cold War building at Cosford rather than the Jetstream, CH53 and Twin Pin.
Looking at the size of the portion I for one would be disappointed at paying the full price.

The main reason I went was to see the gliders but was also well impressed by the other exhibits.
Yes
I have been to the museum a few years back. I went by tram from the town centre but I can’t remember the tram number. There is a tram stop about 250 metres past the road the museum is on and the museum is about a further 250 metres up the road. Its definitely worth a visit. You might get the directions of Tripadvisor.

The Jet Age Museum at Staverton was packed yesterday for the Vulcan flypast. Escaping the car park afterwards was a nightmare. However the staff must be thanked for their patience. To answer Mike J the frenzy to see the aircraft prior to its second retirement is media driven. 20 years ago the facebook etc was unheard of. I saw numerous Vulcans & Victors making their last ever flights as they went to get chopped up at Saints somehow this one seems just a little bit more special.
Does anybody have any more photos they could post of Venture’s whilst still in ATC service?
A fantastic afternoon at Goodwood. I just wish they could have got the traffic sorted though. 3 hours to travel 5.3 miles on the A27.

Not a Spitfire but its not often you see a Venture in Military colours.
There is only one correct font style. I don’t know what it is called and if you look at a lot of historic aircraft the style of the lettering is often wrong after they have been restored as its not a standard font found on computer graphics packages. The correct font is shown in AP119A-0601-1A Section 5. I had to get a company to copy the font from the AP to a graphics package on a PC.
I notice from their website that you need to check the website on the Sunday evening as if the weather is looking poor on the Tuesday then they are looking to fly the event on the Monday. I have my ticket and hope to fly in to Goodwood for the event.
Although they are not everybodies cup of tea but is anybody able to post any photos of the motor gliders?
Great photos, you make it look like they have actually turned the lights on. These are the first pics I have seen of the revamped Grahame White Hangar and I like it enough to need to re-visit it.
The Vulcan is airborne today as I post this message.
