I’m very glad to you had a particularly good outbound flight because I have just checked my log book and it was me!!! Your judgement of distance of the distance of the final approach is just about spot on as I always try to get a visual into Arrecife if I can. I also try not to use more reverse thrust than necessary to avoid upsetting nervous passengers or being too much of a noise nuisance to the locals. It’s bizarre for me to see pictures taken by my passengers! Have you got any more from the outbound flight?
Good, all the more for me!

Go for it wannabe!
Now I can pull strings at EZY (I was best man at the wedding of one of their recruiters)…but not until you get a full license.
I sincerely hope one day we will fly together…but never under a Ryanair banner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😉
You must take any decent opportunity that comes your way but I pray to god you get someone better than O’Leary as a boss!
One other thing for the interview…any pilots who are assessing you will have one thing on their mind – can I sit next to this guy for 16 hours in a confined space without him pi55ing me off? Try and step back and view yourself from someone elses perspective. is there anything about yourself that you might wan to mildly alter. To me you seem an ideal candidate but ask someone you know (someone who will be genuinely honest with you, not your Mum!) if they could sit next to you for that period of time or if they can suggest something you might want to look at adapting in your persona.
Ahh right. In that case the sim is probably a Frasca and will be referred to as a fixed base sim. I was worried they were going to stick you in one of their 737 sims but that wouldn’t really be fair. Your flight sim experience will be fine for preparation for the Frasca but use a flight yoke rather than a joystick. Pay particular attention to the slip ball and keeping it centered with the rudder pedals. They are not looking for perfection from the beginning but improvement throughout the session in order to show that you are receptive to teaching.
Do not under any circumstances try to appear to be a Seneca know all. Treat it as an anonymous aeroplane and let them give you the figures they want you to fly to.
It really sounds like the format is following the one that the BA selection process used to take about 10 years ago (and maybe still in use today). In that case the stuff I previously briefed you on will take place on the 17th. Any more info about the sim detail?
AM and FM are just different ways of modulating the carrier wave, not frequency bands themselves.
