1989
The only time I managed to get to the air fate at Mildenhall was 1989. I went there as a young eight year old wanting to see the mighty SR71. Unfortunately there was only one in the static park with non actually flying as there had been a crash or some technical problem which had grounded the entire fleet.
The other thing I do recall was the size of the beefburgers…. Man, was it huge!! The Americans never seem to do ‘small’ do they… Yum yum!!
