I’ve never heard of plain yellow bars on camouflaged RAF Hawks… The only thing I can think of is that maybe the aircraft you are referring to had not been finished in the paint shop.

I wouldn’t call a T.19 radome thin…. Maybe he is looking at the canberra cockpit with the Jaguar cockpit’s nose poking out from behind?

The latest news was that it was up for sale… Not sure as to her condition though!

I’ve got some cracking black & white photo’s of 104’s at RAF Leuchars. I will have to dig them out!

Although the Phantoms that were based in Scotland were at Leuchars in Fife, I’d say they would still have a place as they protected the Northern part of the UK….

If Leuchars does actually close as per the latest decisions you have a choice of three airframes… (thats if you have the MOD’s backing)
