Good Progress…
I have just received a New Year greeting from our friends over the pond with an attchment of this Mosquito project so far. She is looking good but not sure how far from flight she is??
Maybe worth starting a restoration thread on the A/C when she has moved to VL!!
Cheers!
Thanks QP. I’ll be patient and await their time for posting 😉
Is this new Hunter to be a runner OR is that a silly question?? 😀
Catterick Varsity
QuePee, do you have any photo’s of the Varsity’s that were at Catterick? My interest is down to the fact I have the main flying panel from one of them! Would be nice to see!
Happy as Larry!
I’m a happy man!!! I just hope the two remaining Phantoms (XT864 & XV582-Black Mike) don’t have a bleak future!
Awesome!!
That last photo of the glossy one almost looks like a painting!
Sweet Harrier
Another photo of the camouflaged Harrier here:
Phil.
Already have that with a decal sheet but would love an FG1/FGR2 to go alongside it!
Teasin Tina
Take the Bruntingthorpe Victor which inadvertently took to the skies a little while back albeit only briefly… The CAA would have only kicked up more of a fuss IF the aircraft had left the airfield boundaries and/or reached upto or above a specified height (not sure what that height is but thought it was just short of 1000ft)
Considering it’s not what I expected i.e. in a comic style format, it looks a winner – Thats IF they can get a good story to go with it!
Crazy Cranwell
That would be grand BUT in the meantime I may ask the question from some old Phantom jocks to see if they have any leads on photo’s/video footage….
I have two cuttings, both from the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. You’ll have to give me a few days or more due to this lovely weather, but I’ll will try to get the cuttings and attach ’em.
Well, if this is true I’d love to hear more!
Could you scan and attach those cuttings on here, should make for good reading…
Good Brick!
Bar the faded paint, I think she is looking rather well considering she has been here since around 1994!
The only marks to have commonality in the F.8 canopy are FR.9 and D.16 Drone aircraft, and these are even more rare!!!

The problem is that F.8 canopies are incredibly hard to come by. I’m no Meteor expert so does anyone know if a different mark canopy can interchange with an F.8?
