Just to add my bit…
I last had all the doors open back in 2003 for the engines. Oiled the areas required but in all reality, they need stripping, cleaning and reassebled.
Salad Fingers, I have sent you a PM!
I guess as long as they end up in good homes, it wont be too bad.
I’d like to see the Canberra stay whole and end up somewhere like East Kirkby, Upwood or an ex Bomber Command airfield!
reading just that one PDF brings a tear to the eye
so sad seeing all of the collection up for sale
Tigers – 74(F) Sqn
Firebirds – 56(F) Sqn
Update!
Just to update all…
I have eventually gotten around to contacting Sigma.
Without getting into too much detail, they say they will repair the lens for £81 with new parts which they say should stop it happening again. Apparently current lenses are always being improved after discovering faults that have happened in the past.

Talking of Hunters……
I remember reading an article about a Danish F51 Hunter being abandoned a few miles out from the air base after the pilot got into difficulty. The aircraft not only made it back to base but landed on the runway all be it in a wheels up landing. I even believe the aircraft was repaired and continued to fly with the Danish AF!
The article had a picture of the jet on the runway so will have to dig out the article!

I would have thought both the FG1 and FGR2 are MOD
Are the two phantoms owned by the museum or Mod?
