Looks like it could be a cracking event!!
I recon the ‘NO’ vote is in the lead simply because when you vote, you don’t have to give your name or address, hence there is nothing stopping you going on various computers and voting again and again!!
That link takes me to another thread entitled: Thread: So which country will upgrade its F/A-18s with AESA?
Although there has been talk of renaming HMS Prince of Wales, which I doubt would happen, what could be a good name?? In light of recent loss, how about a name that has not been used before (as far as I’m aware) HMS Iron Lady 😉
I had heard as much regarding the Bucc on FACEBOOK. Ollie even mentioned it could be her first ‘FAST’ run in some years…
Pity about the usual errors from reporters… No mention of the Bucc??
If it helps, I have signed up to reject the development…. Good luck guys!
No it wasn’t a back-up machine. Both aircraft took part in the race -XV741 from London to New York flown by Tom Lecky-Thompson and XV744 from New York to London flown by Graham Williams.

Thanks for clearing that one up PeteP!!
Out of interest, do you know if 744 also carried the 20th anniversary markings as per 741?
Regards,

XV741!!
I always thought XV741 was the Transatlantic Air Race Harrier 😉
I’m not sure but wasn’t 744 the back up machine??

I’d be interested in all of the early Armstrong Whitworth FK series of aircraft if you get that far…
Not the first time a reporter has been up…
Excluding the US, would any other allies be interested??
Do you have a link for that please?
The cockpit is at Stoneykirk, Dumfries & Galloway. I think the rest of her is at Sproughton..
