There was a good series of DVD’s on the Farnborough Air Show, each depicting a certain decade. One of those DVD’s showed G-APUX in full colour demonstrating to the public. Probably worth a look!!
Correct ‘BIG-BORE’ tail pipe…
Black Knight – What is the origional reason for asking this question on G-APUX, modelling or for some graphical representation?? Whatever the reason, please note that this particular hunter had the tail pipe as fitted to Hunter F.6A/FGA.9 aircraft and not as per the normal T.7. The reason for this is it had the bigger and more powerful Avon 203 ideal for the demonstrations she carried out! This can be clearly seen in the link below:
G-APUX / G-HPUX
This question isn’t related to Hawker Hunter Aviation’s G-HPUX by any chance is it as when completed she will fly in these colours?? If it’s not, maybe it could be your next point of call…

As a vacuum, the Lightning sucks well 😉
Due in a sky near you soon…
I have heard that initial engine runs have now been completed with a first flight due soon!! 😀
Is this new?
No – It’s a few years old now!!
I live next to NEAM at Sunderland and having worked there for many years I can confirm the place to have much activity… However, ‘Most Haunted’ I found to be a load of tosh with NO accuracy at all in what was reported!!!
I was there around the time this was filmed and this is what I was told:
Whirlwind Pilot ‘Bartholomew’ – No record of this guy at all.. MH also stated that the Whirlwind flew in the Falklands… NOT TRUE!
Crashed Airman – Sgt Shaw – This is true but I was told the MH team were informed of all of the information before the ‘psychic’ came up with anything. He has actually been seen and tobacco smelt near his engine and personal belongings.
Seahawk (you mean Sea Venom) was rocked by a fellow worker while being filmed!
The spy is a true story but there is no evidence of his activity.
Oh, and I was told the sound guy was chucking stones although again, I can’t confirm this…
Here is my own personnel crusade that maybe of interest

If your not familiar with the Lincs aviation centre either then you should take a look at their impressive site too.
I’m glad you posted this as I only looked at your site a couple of weeks ago, after thinking things had gone quiet…. Well done on passing the next hurdle!! I llok forward to further updates 🙂
Cranwell has just chalked one up too this morning. No injuries fortunately.
Beech?
From his FB page
Am getting ready to leave on a really early morning flight to check out the latest really cool acquisition with a couple of my aircraft guys!
Sorry… nobody’s really come close to guessing what it is.
I will tell you this – A foreign buyer was VERY close to purchasing it as an investment, and it would have ended up disassembled in a warehouse overseas where it probably would not have seen the light of day for quite some time. I have been following this airplane for a decade and it was always waaay beyond my reach. Well , I pushed my boundaries, I reached beyond myself, and with a bit of divine intervention from the original owner… it fell into my hands!
It should be sitting on display at Fantasy of Flight by the end of this year!
Keep guessing!
Intriguing no?
Moggy
From this I guess it is already in the USA and as for being out of reach, I take this not to be down to money but more like ownership!!
For this, I think the F-82 is a good guess as I had heard there was European interest for a return to flight….
I wonder if this means we could see the old ‘VC’ at some air shows this year…?
Chopped up!
