LLA Day is looking good for Sun. However just a few things need pointing out. The gates will not be open before 10, and the carpark will not be open before 8:30, therefore I would suggest that early arrival is not a good idea. Please use the car parks that are in use and don’t park on the road, last year’s traffic on Dogdyke Road was a nightmare.
The grassed area will be increased and there will be some tables and chairs, however bring your own chairs if poss.
Flying will be Lanc, Dak and 5 fighters as that is the number of pilots available.
Please enjoy the day and we will see you on Sunday.

Caught this on UKAR. Possibility of a no show by the Lancaster. I hope it isn’t correct!

Unfortunately the Lanc is U/S at the moment, due to an engine snag, nothing serious should be OK for next weekend.

    Any positive comments are welcome.

Just thought we would repost this quote. The post is about our website not LLA. However LLA day would be very boring if it was just the Lanc, with nothing else to see or do!!
LLA do a grand job and we have no complaints here. Take up your grievance with LLA.

Sorry its late But some nice shots there off the BBMF resting for the winter 😎 is The Last the only spitfire in the BBMF that can still fly or is that getting maintenance aswel now and have you got any shots of the Dak & Chippys ?

    James

Mk is at Duxford (ARCO), The Dak and Chippys x2 are still flying, everything else is on winter maintenance and so will not be flyable for the foreseeable future (Mar 08)

    Lincs Lanc Day

OK, it will be nice to see LLA members on the day next Sun, however can we please ask that you use the carparks that will be signposted and not park on the grass alongside the perimeter fence adjacent to the BBMF hanger. Last year the traffic flow problems weren’t good, so we would like people to use the carparks.
    See you next Sunday!

The Radios were fully restored to working order about 10 years ago, however we don’t use them.

…but if you do or have, shouldn’t we be seeing the the grey/green division that always passes underneath the fuselage roundel?

Yes the division line is there and yes the roundel went on after camo paint, you just need to see the bigger piccy.
