    the simple AK 47 whilst not hugeley deadly on its own it has the destinction of being the largest volume made and sold assault rifle

    most of the worlds forces have them , terrorists and rebels wouldn’t be seen without one , and gangsters/underworld will almost certainly have one on the inventory

    there’s probably been more people killed by this one weapon than any other single ( mechanical ) weapon type !!

    I hate to be pedantic (….oh yes I do!) but Windermere isn’t a lake.

    There is only one lake in the Lake District, and that’s Bassenthwaite Lake.

    The rest are Meres, Tarns, and Waters.

    i know !! i’m lucky enough to live close enough !!

    the tarn ‘mere or water district wouldn’t have the same ring to it though

    In a half hearted way of pretending I’m interested in the subject, what do my honourable forumites think of one large weekly shop, versus nipping down the local shops every other day to get one or two items?

    a bit of both realy but my local market gets heavily involved as i avoid supermarkets like the plague

    i have 2 realy good market towns close by

    I buy large cans of dog food from Lidls as it`s far cheaper than cat food..as long as i remove the label, my cats love it !!.

    lake windermere has had a speed limit enforced mainly due to speedboat wakes damaging wildlife / nature

    so i realy can’t see any complaints over something that leaves no wake !! 😀

    digital photography ( the instant usefullness of polaroid ) but usefull.

    the internet , for speed of communication

    i remember the trouble explaining car parts over the telephone , then still getting the wrong one

    a photo in an email pretty much has 100% sucess rate !!
