The reality is that there are more people alive in India today than there were in the whole planet in 1840, and the graph is going up exponentially.
Scientists are probably being given more resources to find ways of vastly reducing the world’s population…

exactly my point before !! the world can only cater for a certain amount , we are struggling to house and feed those here now without growing

as you say if it was available would they deliver it?? ,, also if they won’t ( in some instances ) pay for a drug that only extends cancer sufferers lives , would they pay the ultimately more expensives cure price ???

hhhhmmmmmm !! i’d say anything is possible , we live in a society where there is a drug that will extend the life of cancer sufferers ( fact ) but wether you get it or not depends on where you live !!

if a motor manufacturer could build a car that would last a lifetime with no spares needed !! …. would they ??

a further thaught as the world heads rapidly towards over population is it realy a good idea to try to extend everybodys lives !!

and usualy this idea of extending life would be all well and good if we were extending it if we were as we were when we were 20 i myself don’t relish the thaught of extra extentions after my mid 70’s

Engelbert Humperdinck – is that truly the best we can do – well no, it isn’t so I think it might an ironic choice – someone with a sense of humour. EH wasn’t even a “great” in his heyday! What a bizarre choice.

Having said, we’ll still watch it – car crash TV at its best.

E.H. apparently has a huge following in eastern europe….. question is will it turn into votes ??

well andrew loyd webber is highly regarded and when his song was entered we went from U.K. NIL POINTS , to being fith

but will EH break through the political vote

i think satan would be wearing ice skates !!

I hope the reports are untrue and that this is not on the Government’s agenda.

On a personal note, I think the posting quoted above is, without doubt, one of the vilest comments I’ve ever seen posted here, and I’ve been here a long time. It is disgraceful, shameful and unwelcome. I hope current service personnel do not believe that tornado’s vile diatribe is representative of the belief of the public in general.

Perhaps tornado should remember exactly why it is that we sleep soundly in our beds at night and that the care of those killed, wounded or injured in the service of this Country is but a small part of the debt we all owe.

    Regards,

here we go again !! why is it vile kev ?? simply because it is not your view ??

when i was in if i’d been married i as my brother would have preffered family that was settled in a civillian community

i and my brother would have been happier knowing that if the worst should happen ( if you join up without thinking it you are a fool ) your family was settled indeffinately without the inevitable of eventualy having to move on from MOD property , my view is they would have friends around them and could remain where they were as long as they wanted

it does not stop them meeting up with others of the same mindset but some may not want to some may want to make a clean break

the trouble is that the british only like seeing life or death they don’t like the unsavoury idea of dissabillity and all that goes with it

try to get from one town to another with someone in a wheelchair and observe peoples attitudes ( it will open your eyes !! ) unfortunately mostly from the older generation
