i find it quite disgusting ( it may be the modern society we are in ) but there are R.I.P. THREADS RUNNING WITH PRACTICALY NO RESPONSE

yet you can’t wait to discuss if you will see them or not next year

quite a sick society that shows little regard for a young lads life but are worried incase they may not get some photo’s next year

and always remember before calling them boring and putting them down the blue angels and thunderbirds hold them in exceptionaly high regard

sometimes acknowledging they are better than them !!

It certainly doesn’t ask me for money, and has never done so once in all of the time that I’ve used it.

Are you SURE you’ve downloaded the free version of CCleaner from the link I posted? I don’t think you have.

It’s always a good idea to give your machine a good clean-out from time to time, Deano. 😀

some are a con to actualy install viruses and get credit card details usualy set off when you click buy now !!

It’s nothing to do with giving our machines a clearout. It happened overnight for me and it’s still running dreadfully slow. It could be connected to a certain ISP because when this happened a couple of months ago it was down to BT. Everyone on a BT connection had issues. It’s too much of a co-incidence that it’s running slow for so many.

can’t be clearout issues , mines a brand new system all other sites ok bar this one painfuly slow for me too !!

Oh, how very Would you like me to carry your suitcase to the taxi for you? :p

the comon sense way that i see it is that we have enough firearms problems now !!

the solution cannot possibly be letting one man an his dog own one

    that is moronic reasoning !!

a few years ago i would have viciously defended the uk as being a terriffic place and would have clung on to stay here , but if the opportunity arrises i will cheerfuly let you carry my bags to the silver bird !!

the biggest trouble with mental illness is it is unforeseeable in some cases

you could go to bed fine and for whatever reason could wake up tommorow a totaly difrent charachter !!

none of us are immune !!

and what i find more concerning are that gun owners ( i speak from experience of knowing a few ) will poo poo everyone elses research ( even if it comes from many respected corners ) whilst at the same time present little if any research to back up thier own attitude of ” it is my gun so hands off “

the suicide rate where guns are pretty much freely available has to be more as suicides fall into two cattogories

no1 is the cry for help that is usualy a slow method like a pain killer overdose where they realy want to be found before the inevitable

no2 is the one that realy does want to die ( these are usualy the violent fast death ) jumping off buildings , jumping in front of trains etc etc

therefore if you put a gun in your own house it takes away a possible long walk where someone may intervene or they change thier mind etc and go home

should it happen ( remember we are all human so no one is immune !! ) with a gun in the house it is all too easy

and i’d say there was a far higher chance of something happening within the home than for someone from outside the home doing it to you !!

Some research shows an association between household firearm ownership and gun suicide rates.[10][11] For example, it was found that individuals in a firearm owning home are close to five times more likely to commit suicide than those individuals who do not own firearms.[12] However, other research found a statistical association among a group of fourteen developed nations but that statistical association was lost when additional countries were included.[13] During the 1980s and early 1990s, there was a strong upward trend in adolescent suicides with a gun,[14] as well as a sharp overall increase in a suicides among those age 75 and over.[15] In the United States, firearms remain the most common method of suicide, accounting for 52.1% of all suicides committed during 2005.[16] Unlike in the U.S., suicides committed with guns in countries where firearms are uncommon are similarly uncommon (an obvious statistic, since guns are not as available).

got some good stuff there myself this year , the light and weather were superb compared to previous years

i shoot on nikon gear and use fully manual on a 70-300mm

quality very much depended where the shooting ops were anything to the left was pretty hopeless as it was washed out by the suns position ( as you will notice on your own collection of shots , all those that you have shot that are to the right of you deffinateley have the edge on those comming from the left )

but anything from the right or directly in front was superbly lit

i managed to get the tornado as it pulled up with the rainbow haze of mist around it , some got it a lot better ( i suspect with a lot more expensive gear than i !! )

but i picked up details like the wingwalkers wearing adidas trainers and the spitfire pilots hand and thumb on the control columb , so good enough for me

i also under exposed a tad to saturate colour and improve detail giving a more contasty look

i shot the day by metering off the sand then underexposing by a couple of stops

i will be posting a couple once i load photoshop onto the new pc set up

but for now i’ll just give a wee sample of a totaly unedited from camera shot

a big secret is using as fast shutter speeds as possible a good rule of thumb is shutter speeds above 400th sec in your lenses case ( i go well above unless wanting prop or rotorblade motion ) with the movement of a long focal leangth lens motion is amplified so even with seemingly fast shutter speeds you will still get blurred images

apart from helis i shot mostly over 1000 sec and even at those speeds some of the tornado shots were still blurred

i focus manualy because i find auto is too unreliable and i miss more good shot ops that i would have been happy with slightly blurred because the shutter did not fire because the autofocus was still hunting
