in factory killing in chickens it is not always fully guaranteed the head comes into contact with the water before the throat is cut !!
as i say the end result is the same
i just find it odd the actual death is shrugged off
but if there seems to be a little pain for a split seccond or few secconds all hell breaks loose
i have no qualms about breaking a birds kneck for the table or whacking a fish round the back of the head
the trouble is most folks contact with where thier food comes from nowadays is sainsburys or tescos et al
i honestly do believe in ten to twenty years time some won’t be able to make the connection between a burger and cattle !!

But that doesn’t happen now because the Police has become a Service rather than a Force and if you step in to help someone in trouble it’s likely you’ll be seen as the criminal by the Police because it’s easier for them than doing their actual job.

a few years ago i worked as one of the fore runners of what are now PCSO’s
and me and a few of the other lads were always in trouble for breaking up fights , stopping shoplifters , tackling vandals , etc etc being told ” you are only there to observe and report ! “
not as easy as that !! me and the other lads ( being ex forces ) couldn’t handle the shame of doing nothing whilst the public looked on in disgust at you for being in uniform and doing nothing
there were others that only observed that showed how hopeless and innefectual some of them are becomming
unless of course it is a tourist taking photo’s , then they’ll fall over themselves to try and arrest him !!

the biggest problem is these vehicles are baught by the ” must have it now !” latest trend brigade that will replace them when the latest fads arrive
the biggest percentage won’t be that intrested in them second hand
so i can see them having a very short lifespan compared to a comparable fuel vehicle
now bear in mind that a lot of fuel vehicles are not kept long enough to repay thier environmental footprint
it becomes clear that electrics are very ungreen
it takes all the same resources to build them and only the fuel is difrent
but as said ” is it ?? ” as you still have to plug in to a fossil fuel powered power station
if you combined all things i would be willing to bet an electric car would probably be just as bad as a fuel vehicle !!
worse if anything if replacement times were braught into the equasion !!

never ride without one after i had a 60mph crash and put a dent in a brand new 4hrs old nolan glass fibre full face ( ironicly baught on friday the 13th )
i remember my brother comming home from the millitary on his triumph bonneville it was when the helmet law came in i’d guess early 70’s
as i remember him comming home in no helmet but buying one and returning in it at the time he was in the royal artillerys trials team ( he won the odd trophy ) so was used to wearing helmets
ironicly after all his big bikes and team membership it was a small bike he had his worst accident on but 100% sure without a helmet it would have been a morgue visit as his head smashed the rear screen and collided with the rear roof pillar on the way through
i’m going back to bikes after a few years break and guaranteed i’ll have the best helmet ( both in fit and quality ) i can afford and full leathers and boots ( even in summer )
i had a few spills when younger without the correct gear and don’t fancy going there again
but having said that the report does not actualy say what he died of !!
it mereley says he collided head first , the best helmet in the world won’t stop your kneck breaking !!

Edited: CoC Rule 15
even if fuel rises to 15 quid a litre they will still be able to sell vehicles like this to someone somewhere
and the fact is i’d rather run a 60’s 6 litre muscle car than a brand new green vehicle
the reasons are the muscle car would be the greener alternative
the reason is simple
the muscle car has for want of a better description ” payed back its environmental footprint
whereas building a new car of any kind causes a huge environmental footprint that is going to take many years to repay
the best action would actualy be not to build any new car types and just keep old types running with reclaimed spares
at times in my life i have been in a position to buy a new vehicle ( but even before the green bandwagon ) i had the belief of not being wastefull for wastefulls sake and love restoring old things
the odd thing is these green cars will be recycled way before paying back the environmental footprint to make another green car
and the clueless plastic hippies will be walking around shouting from the rooftops ” look at me arn’t i green ! “
yes mate ” very green !”

so in a nutshell i wholeheartedley promote the electric car to everyone !!
mainly because we would still need oil for practicaly everything around us
but my main considdering factor would be petrol would then become a by product less demand would make it cheaper
leaving it for those that like proper cars and motorcycles !!
and you can bet your life the day your electric car breaks down or runs out of charge in the middle of nowhere ( it never happens near a charging socket !! ) then a good old deisel recovery truck will collect it !!
