It’s a mater of drag. They try to make it more efficient than a proven, now deemed classic design (T50). With a single tall fin, they cut drag, section area and hence even more drag, overall size (length) that can then be reinvested in the front section to make for more staggered seating but with smooth lines etc…
Balancing a perfect design is a difficult exercise and then you have to exploit the inherent advantages of your resulting choices. For the Boeing we can guess that acceleration and climb could be that.
For the Northrop aero efficiency with a bottomed CPFH.
The LM approach would be as discussed earlier ownership cost (lifetime and risk).
I don’t know what approach Raytheon and Leonardo have together to differentiate themselves (not something needed) but they will probably pitch for an alleviated system cost and overall risk given their proven expertise.

That this would be the result of the G-meter hodometer or that of a FCS limiter we don’t known (but can reasonably guess).

IAF’s Jaguar catches fire during takeoff (pilot ok)
Ambala/New Delhi, Sep 13: Indian Air Force’s Jaguar aircraft […] today caught fire minutes before take off at Ambala air base but the pilot got out safely.
Defence sources said the pilot spotted fire during the take off roll, aborted the take off and carried out safe exit. “Today evening at Ambala air field, a Jaguar aircraft aborted takeoff while getting airborne for a routine night flying mission.
The pilot carried out safe and quick exit. The aircraft caught fire,” an IAF spokesperson sai

Also, I don’t get the F16 landing gear re-use. The T-X is much smaller with less weight. A scale down version of the F16 gear perhaps.
Notice also that they kept an HUD despite the large screen and probable helmet use. We had this discussion earlier (should they keep an HUD as spare) and it seems that Boeing has reached the same conclusion.

@SpudmanWP: I was referring myself to the artwork featuring a V-tail. Obviously the wrong one regarding your comment. Yes, the artwork you mentioned had a more staggered seats. It seems they have agreed to relax the front view from the rear seat given the larger seating base and perhaps the T38 experience. This allow them certainly to cut some cost (and weight) in the canopy design. Given that the bird has as a full 404 in the rear (with AB), the speed parameters could have been given some priority.
I also wonder what size of antennae can fit in the front. Look to me that it would be perfectly sized for a descent AESA
