This is not true*. Stealth does not impart restrictions in maniability in any of the 5th gen fighter. Otherwise, a souped-up 117 would have made it through long ago. Those who have seen the famous Rafale Vs Raptor video can’t say such. The acceleration and angular rate of the Raptor in that video are truly phenomenal and nowhere to be seen with another type.
All 5th gen design pay a great deal of attention to increase the field of maneuverability regarding the earlier generation. You can see clear traces of this philosophy in the the 22, the 35, the 18E (not really 5 but designed to be as 5th as eco/delay were acceptable), the PakFa, the KFX, the Japanese design or the J20.
It’s a trend. Not an illusion.
Then that the USAF/USMC/USN does not want to unveil their recipe does not make it a fail or a legend.

The fixed inlets on the YF23, PAKFA, F22 and F35 are not really fixed apart from their supportive geometry. Active flow ctrl allows designer to influence the compression shocks in the same manner a ramp will do

Problem with f-35 is that it is inferior in the whole lot of them when compared to almost any fighter actually in production.
Who said that? This is an aviation forum, not a dog barking contest. Provide elements, sourced from references or from a well built demonstration of yourself.
The last time I checked the number the “inferior” fighter had the best AoA on the market, by far, and its main user, the USAF, was seeking a trainer in large quantity with never-seen sustained G performances. Something that we haven’t heard from air forces flying the so claimed hot-rods (nor on the OP needs, nor on the potential capability of their industrial sector to build such at contracted costs and delays – I will remind you here the defunct Thales high G Trainer discarded on the ground that there was no OP needs to train Typhoon or Rafale pilots).
But I guess you’d think that the T-X is all about passing the frustration of USAF jockey’s. The true”comfort” ride of modern age’s Air forces.
If order it is, it might not be only from the Middle-East.
