Great shots Paul, I love the Air Canada 763, very nice, I also like the Singapore 773 on rotate.
Is that a Synergy King Air?

Sorry you have been hit bad, that is a nightmare, keep us updated on events.

All ok here, it is just a case of us watching the river rise above the garden then reside again, which it did on the night, James I think I am going to have to invest in a boat yes 😉
I was hoping some trout would have got stuck my side of the chain link fence but it wasn’t to be lol.

I work at Gloucestershire airport, the seakings are coming & going all day, they have now set up a 20nm exclusion zone around Tewksbury which prevents me from flying over it. I forgot to take my camera with me on Sunday, I flew over the whole area affected, it is a shock to the system, and the landscape is totally covered making navigation from the air near impossible. To see Upton On Severn totally cut off was a shock, also into Worcester, to see the race course & my beloved Worcestershire County Cricket Club under water yet again was also a shock.
I was up in the circuit at Gloucester today and it did look “slightly” better, there is a small shape appearing to the River Severn now, let’s hope it keeps residing at a good rate

Thanks for the info, I was called today and offered Belfast to start at the end of August if I want it, or I can hold out until the end of Aug for somewhere else, still have to make up my mind.

    Jasop, thanks for this, was that 4 x Flybe Q400s or 4 x BACON Dash8 300s etc?

Thanks Old Git, sorry to hear you couldn’t get your medical, this is the biggest career busting element of commercial flying I guess, sorry you didn’t get the chance to at least start your career.

    Thanks again guys

Mark, my definition of based is basically how many they actually have there that they “shut down overnight” as such, I know flybe fly into BHX from other destinations but these a/c are based elsewhere, so if you have numbers that would be good.

    PeeBee

Thanks, I can’t wait to start, still none the wiser on the base yet, it will be another 5 weeks or so once all the current bid letters are handed back in from the pilots (end of Aug I was told), Exeter is the ideal base, but I told the lady (no names mentioned) that Exeter, Birmingham or Southampton would be great. If they don’t give me any of them I will end up anywhere apart from the IOM, I have a hunch it will be Glasgow or Edinburgh as they have just recruited for Belfast & the IOM, I guess time will tell.

    LOL

Allen, I was thinking swans, they may add the odd £1000 to the price of the hosue 😉

Jonesy, no issues really mate, all I know is that it’s a really bad idea to keep goldfish down there HAHA, all it does is deposit alot of crap on the lawn (probably does it good actually), the house isn’t affected as it’s quite high up. if the house get’s flooded then the whole SW of England are in the proverbial S**t LOL

Mainly American & Japanese tourists. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, if you want somewhere out the way of everything then Hamilton is probably not the place, but I found it to be stunningly relaxing, you can sit by the large pool and drink cocktails all day, swim over to the bar and get your drink, you can hire a golf buggy and go for a dusk drive to the top of the island and watch the sunsetting. Tourists or not I loved it, but I guess it’s all down to the individual’s taste.

You simply cannot beat Hamilton Island in Queensland for pure beauty and relaxation, stunning place, and very romantic sunsets.

Guys (mainly ship 741) please keep to the topic, it was about the pictures, not the safety records & stability issues of the MD-11 & DC-10.
Ray Jade has already resurrected a thread that was 7 months old (missed by the mods, sorry) which should have been closed. So 2 reasons to close it, I must be getting soft in my old age, and boy with 2 young kids, do I feel old

    Steve I disagree

When on a long haul flight I wanna see trollie dollies 😉 You have to have some eye candy on a 21hr flight, it’s terribly tedious otherwise 😀
