yea 😀
yea 😀
sorry, bit aggravated atm
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox live, all of the game servers get overloaded when the americans get off school
so basically you get really crap lag
For example
Shoot a guy in the head three times (i know he should be dead) but he’s not and somehow he manages to headshot me. You get whats called a “killcam” so you see the 10 seconds leading up to your death through the guys eye who killed you
I watch his killcam and ive not shot him once (according to his killcam) and the one shot is aimed at where he was (on my screen) but on his screen he’s already moved!
SO SO AGGRAVATING

Sir, I will do my very best! 🙂
Ben
Ben I thought you had a Shackleton restoration page going?
its on the way, Im still trying to get hold of the chap with the details for the current Website for the friends of WR963 so I can incorporate that into the new website
The design for the above web address is almost finished 🙂 just needs coding and approval 🙂
some excellent points raised so far. Less pessimisim than I have come to expect :diablo:
By no means would this be an easy, quick or cheap project, I firmly believe that over a period of 8-10 years, is an entirely feasible project, I would be happy to spend the next 8-10 years managing this project as a fulltime job, in fact im fully prepared to do so 🙂
You never know what might happen, first things first, we need to become better known and expand our members society (which is what i am currently working on)
Any further comments would be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps we could make this a “forum restoration”
:diablo:
Ben
there is no way they spend 50million on the lanc mate
I was talking to John Cubberly (chairman) this afternoon and he said that realistically if you were careful you could keep a shackleton in the air for more than 14 hours on a full tank of gas
So id imagine thats a season of airshow flying :diablo:
blue skies 🙁
then again there are many who do know what a shackleton is.
with regards to market value, you could ask what the market value of the Vulcan is?
Peter, the honest answer is, I dont know. I would hope that she would get the call for airshow work but nothing like this is certain.
Before we embark upon any extensive programme to get her to flying condition I would hope that some sort of study could be made into this very question, afterall the last thing any of us would want is to have a smiliar situation to the vulcan.
Does anyone have an approximate cost for the BBMF/CWH lancasters? I would have thought that a shack would be similar (ish)
cheers for your support matey, you can come for a ride when we get her flying again 😉
