i remember reading about this when the lifted it from the fjiord (sorry about spelling) though it does seem to me that she wasnt properly braced when they lifted her?
fantastic achievement! i always felt it was a little sad to have readied the girl for such a monumental flight which she then completed to only then stick her in a museum and never even run her up again. i know that its all money and museum policy etc, but i still think its a shame
i dont think the government had the money to put into the project at the time, just after the war the coutnry was close to bankruptcy, i think i started a thread on this not so long ago 🙂
