to be honest – ive seen other 1/48 scale professionally finished model kits go on ebay uk for ~£250

I dont think its unreasonable to be honest – ive got a hasegawa 1/48 phantom FGR.1 in my wardrobe, i paid £57 just for the kit…

At work last night, got a 999 call in from a man who said the following

“Hi Police, Im realy ringing to say, im in field to the rear of my house, I have terminal cancer and I have my shotgun with me… BANG”

I sat there in a stunned silence knowing that he’d just killed himself – didnt know his name, where he is or anything like that so as you can imagine pandemonium ensues

15 minutes later, a woman rang who said the following

“OMG ive just woken up and my husband has gone, he’s taken his shotgun :'( He has terminal cancer, I think he’s gone off into the woods at the back of our house, i went into the garden but couldnt see him”

I cant tell her what I know (it might not be the same) So I sit there getting her details, asking her to take deep breaths and not to worry as police would be with her in a matter of minutes…

All I can feel is sickness and that im a horrible person KNOWING that he’s dead and telling her everything will be ok

I cried all the way home in my car

Excellent update Rich! I wonder if any of you have spared a thought at how clean the white paint will be once engine runs resume??

I have it on good authority that authentic soot will be added as per the AP :diablo:

Car breaking down on the M40 at 4am – spending an hour and ten in my car waiting for the ******* aa – recovery turned up not the aa as they didnt have any patrols in the area, waiting until 0530 for him to say “yeah your car is too low for my tow truck”

Paid £96.12 to upgrade so i could be recovered the 18 miles back home – waited for the first blokes mate to turn up with a flatbed (first bloke said he’d be with me in 20 mins) so im expecting to be on my way back at 0550 – got a text from AA at 0605 saying their bloke was on their way and would be with me for 0615 – an AA man turned up with a dolly for my car at 0628…

Finally managed to get the 18 miles home and into bed at 0740am

The Longest and most expensive 18 miles of my life

3 hours 40 minutes and £96.00 later – im Fcuking p’d off to be honest – Complaining to the AA 😡
