33 is too big a cast,

knowing Hollywood, they will re-write it, change it to a team of 7 and the mine will be in USA.

David Cameron phoning in with his best wishes on live TV.

These guys are just pure spin.

Can you imagine if Apollo 13 had happened this year rather than the 70’s. The media spin would be unbearable.

    “enjoys a good anti-muslim joke”

best of luck drafting that subsection of your ideal “2010 Immigration Act”

It’s certainly an interesting concept. But does that apply to all immigrants or only Muslims? Obviously, Stangman, I have no idea what your chosen religion/ideology/faith is but I would be interested to know if you enjoy “good jokes” that are anti your own faith. Care to test that concept on any Catholic, Jewish etc friends of yours and see them in fits of laughter?

Perhaps you can have Jim Davidson in constant attendance at the Heathrow Immigration Lounge (I have heard that Bernard Manning is not available) with his best book of jokes and he can select the relevant chapter and test for laughs. “There was an Englishman, Scotsman and a Muslim (Jew, Catholic etc)….”

I would tend to go down the route that a “good anti-muslim joke” is verging on an oxymoron.

PS Bring on the “I once met a rude Asian” stories, highly entertaining and persuasive.

I don’t think it should be a taboo subject.

Perhaps the forum would like to hear your remarks about “people who come from abroad and choose to live in the UK” and then we are all free to continue the debate rather than hear about peoples reactions to those remarks.

How it made top news item on Radio 2 heaven only knows why!!!

I have a big beef with celebrity and its modern definition….JR was ok, but never worth the huge amount. BBC is getting very disappointing….it is supposed to have a mandate to provide quality, advert free, non-biased viewing that other channels do not necessarily produce. They seem beset on producing the same guff (reality, cooking, soapy bollox) that the others do and do so many adverts too! And are overly wrapped up in ratings….it would be nice if they produced unique viewing imho!

Could not agree more. BBC TV is signing it’s own death warrant by trying to compete with SKY, ITV etc. They don’t seem to have the guts or imagination to go their own way. BBC2 is the new BBC1, BBC4 is the new BBC2 and BBC1 is ITV

    And that means what?

    You denouncing it?
Yes, I am denouncing the attempt at using a domino dot as a simile for complex racial, social and political issues that exist in all Western societies.

    Think it’s incorrect, what? Yes

Not only central, how about Hounslow and other areas round LHR? Ever been?

If you mean Central London and LHR stands for London Heathrow Airport, then yes, I have been to those places on frequent occasions and I can say that I have never felt like a domino dot or any piece of pub game equipment.

“Ross is humourous, intelligent, quick witted”

I would be very grateful if anyone can post any evidence that he is intelligent.

Humourous is purely a matter of taste, quick, well yes, on live radio, that is a pre-requisite
