Glad to see some people still use they grey matter for better things than waving flags and spewing bias.

I bet they have engineers who can approximate the RCS, range, etc of the aircraft at an extremely high level.

Maybe our friend scooter just got confused by the “35”;)

Yeah, I guess he’s just not ‘Situationally Aware’.

The next flight is scheduled for March 5th………..So, you really believe the Su-35 and Mig-29 display technology is better than the F-35’s??? Funny, most experts would disagree! The Lightning doesn’t even require a HUD. As a matter of fact the displays provided in the HMCS (helmet) project all the necessary data and images regardless of were the pilot turns his head. He can even look down at the floor and see what below the aircraft! Really, all of the data from multiple sources if fused within the helmet to provide him with the most complete picture a fighter pilot has ever had! The fact is the F-35 Pilot with have the best Situational Awareness of any Fighter period……….

Sorry, my mistake I meant the ‘B’- when the entire programme takes on ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ reputation- targetting specific failures gets blurred.

Where did I say what you said I said?
You’re the one going-off on a tangent talking about ‘state of the art’- when I chucked my rear projection tv years ago. Calm down, buddy.

I only said the ’29K cockpit is cooler than the SMT, so why are you responding with a rabid tirade of fanboy pics of the F-35- on a thread about the Su-35? Huh, brochure boy?
Besides, IN ’29Ks will incorporate Thales’ Topsight-E HMDS- not bad for a 4th gen. fighter.

If, you want to talk State of the Art…………:diablo:

Errr…since when is a rear projection tv ‘state of the art’? it might be for Rockwell Collins- but I wouldn’t shout about it.
The OLED on my cell phone is more ‘state of the art’- that’s if you understand the technology.

Oh, hasn’t the ‘C’ been delayed for another year due to fan blade failure?
-Man, that ‘rolling’ test programme is doing just that- ‘rolling’. Congratulations.

Not as cool as the ’29K cockpit…Oh is this a new ejection seat for the Su-35?

I think most of the people agrees with me the just Russians are competing with USA at aircraft sales. This means both countries aicrafts have the wold’s most advanced technologies.Russia showed it’s latest developments at Su-35BM aircraft. And today Russia has a ambitious PAK-FA project. They are spending really very much money for this project and I think they will produce a very advanced aircraft.Maybe better than F-22?But I think they must use the latest technologies at all areas of production.Today they have money, intellectual capacity and experience.I think these are enough for creating the world’s best aircraft.

A US aviation industry insider recently said he expects the RCS of the PAK-FA to be at least as low as the F-22 simply because it is a later design, he claims the Russians are well aware of the design intracacies of the F-22/35 and have up-until recently lacked the precision machine tooling to put together such an aircraft (this has been imported en masse). Then again many precision machines used on US programmes were probably of Japanese/ German origin.
In fact the biggest headache in the PAK-FA programme remains the engine, so we’ll have to wait & see how good a use those new supercomputers were.
Obviously MiG will employ these precision machines on their VLO UCAV a project which is already 2 years old.

He also expected a larger radar and greater unrefuelled combat AP radius simply due to Russia’s huge border, after all it’s not a point defence fighter.

An interesting point to note is if you look at those blown-up reasonably high-res. pics of Su-30MKI & Typhoon in close formation during ‘Indra-Dhanush ’07’ (posted by Jai) the body/panel work of the Eurofighter looks positively shoddy compared to the smooth finish of the Flanker- kinda makes you wonder exactly which of the two was electron-beam welded!

You people are actually taking this whole ‘evil’ thing seriously?? I was under the impression it was just a bad joke this whole time. Apparently it’s gone out of hand. Gah! 😮

See what you have done Mr Putin!!! By not revealing any PAK-FA details you have allowed chaos & carnage to reign in all PAK-FA threads worldwide, brother has turned on brother, you truly are Lucifer incarnate, and I will not be voting for your stooge Medvedev…..

Just kidding!! HA-HA!! I was singing your party anthem as I voted…’together we’ll be victorious’ (really, I was just kidding!!).
Thankyou, Lord Vladimir (oh Great Leader of Men).

Is wanting world domination evil? They claim evil Mr Putin wants it and that is what makes him evil, so I guess them having a military domination of the world makes them by their own criteria evil… Yes I agree with you. 🙂

Only a decade ago, in 1998, the West and their associated energy companies hoped (as Russians feared) that the Russian Federation would completely fall apart leaving Russia the size of France in the not too distant future.

That was until that ‘evil’ Putin & his FSB cronies got in the way- and how things have changed! Now Putin wants half the North Pole!! Maybe he’ll force a renegotiation of the Alaska sale too!!…..and to add insult to injury it’s sky-high Russian titanium prices that have murdered the F-22 production line!!- hehehehehehehehehehehahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!……it’s that Karmic Circle- I tell ya.:)

Can you blame them? As soon as the Yanks see it they are going to start designing things to counter it… leave them in the dark as long as possible I say.

Having read many of these posts, it’s clear the thread’s overlooked one important issue- the Russian armed forces of today/tomorrow will have a primary function of national defence with conventional & nuclear deterrence much like West European nations.
There is no will or means to revive the Soviet Army as a tool of global communist domination or significant power projection (they’ll leave the strategic balance act to China) hence comparing today’s US armed forces with yesterday’s Soviet forces & equipment is completely facile.

The Russians will develop a new dynamic to their armed forces- downsized with almost completely new equipment in the next decade (as touted in Putin’s speach at Zhukovsky last week)- that in itself is a remarkable proposition & worth watching closely.

Anyways, back to the essence of the thread- Kornet E vs Merkava hehehehehehehehehehhahahahahhahahhahahahaaaaaa!!!!!!

The Indian Defence Minister and HAL bigwigs have visited KnAAPO and viewed PAK-FA prototypes being assembled (yesterday)- which is awfully cheeky ’cause the Indo-Russian FGFA is being sold to their respective publics as a seperate programme altogether (as Abhimanyu has already detailed as nothing more than an MKI- if that).

Maybe the Indian press will leak some details, as the Russians seem to be descending into paranoid secrecy again.
