Just an idea, but the future might be in self publication & eBooks.

I can help anyone who would like to set up a website selling their own, and others, works.

The principle being that the buyer pays for access to the book in electronic format, who can then download it, and can either print it or keep it in electronic format.

There are tools for securing the content too. For instance, I produce all my invoices in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, and this makes the content uneditable by anyone other than me (indeed, I could also make them unprintable, if I so wished).

As for all the other legal stuff surrounding book publishing, well I’m sure Melvyn knows how to resolve those particular issues. My skills only go so far as making the finished book accessible.

Of course this solution isn’t so “tactile” and more difficult to flaunt on a coffee table, unfortunately.

If you’re visiting Yeovilton on a Monday or Tuesday, let me know where & when, and I’ll be there.

I’ve booked all my holiday so far this year – and I work every weekend.

Yep, they would do nicely – but are there plenty of spares for these too?

The new servicing regime to be applied to Avons in order to extend their life should enable them to stay in the air for quite some time. I understand Miss Demeanor is already, or will soon, benefit from this.

Now Yeovilton is only about 80 miles from me, not 1000, so I wonder if anyone knows whether or not they are conducting test flights on her – and roughly when?

I have most Mondays and Tuesdays off, so it would be great to go up and get a “sneak preview”.

I wonder if there’s any possibility that she might be up and running already, just waiting for an opportunity to be shown in public?

If so, any chance that she might fly by Brunty on 2nd May (see you all there)? Or attend the Chivenor service & airshow on 2nd June?

My wallpaper changes on an hourly basis, I use the webshots desktop which allows you to import up to 250 pictures & add a calendar. It’s free too.

to make the return journey plus the recovered aircraft is by the use either of helicopters, or ski-planes, or both.

There was a Herc fitted with skis, but I think it’s been retired now. What else would be big enough for this particular job?

I take it this is a different mission to the one used to recover Glacier Girl?

Did you see the last show he did for the BBC

No, well unless you count the Radio 2 webcam. I believe Noel’s last BBC performance was standing in for Johnnie Walker – who has cancer – a couple of months ago – in the “Drivetime” 5 to 7pm spot.

    I might be mistaken, though.

Look, can we try using the name – Bruce “Richard”inson = instead – we’ll know who you mean!!!!!

    😀 😀 😀 😉

    Shame we were all working!

Speak for yourself bud, I have to work for other people on Sats & Suns in order to supplement my meagre income 🙁 (No, my name isnt Sad Sack).

I’m having to take holiday for all the shows I want to attend this year 🙁 But I am going to take a full week in the busy period to visit two or three in a mad rush.

Nope – had an email from Felicity two days ago, but nothing new in that either.

I, for one, am disappointed that their promise to provide a link back to my site – so that we can build up a little extra funding for them – was approved by Felicity back in December, but nothing has happened at all.

Her response to my enquiry seemed to indicate she had forgotten about it – because it was clear she thought I was talking about something else completely.
