If you think .303 ammo is expensive in the States, I bought a Martini-Henry MK.2 last year. THAT stuff costs!

Oh I agree with you. The question was directed at Tigershark.
So, a troll is someone that doesnt agree with you?
Guns are banned in Mexico, but I can assure you, WAAAAY more than the police and military have them there.

I pretty much agree with Chuck. I have seen very little difference in either of the two political parties. As to gun control…………any new law passed now will be completely ineffective. The last assault weapons ban simply did not work. A ban on hicap magazines would be futile as there is something on the order of 30 million of them allready out there.
There will be no mass confiscation of weapons, so anything done will be simply theater.
I’v been a police officer for 21 years, before that I was in the Army, and the one “truth” I’v discovered is that there is not one thing that we can do that will stop this sort of thing from happening again. Not one. Since man first invented laws, man has been breaking them and that is not going to change. Its a harsh truth to face, but there it is.

Everything Iv read about EMALS since the other day says it is lighter less invasive and easier to maintain than steam cats. Why the difference of opinion here?
If they would simply make it illegal to murder someone this would not have happened……..oh, sorry……..it has been against the law to murder someone for a long time. And the penalties are pretty stiff. I wonder why it still happens then, even in the UK?

Was the ME-163 comet a “blended” wing?
Well maybe when the talk of how the design was adaptable to installing cats and wires they were referring to steam cats, not EMALs. Lets face it the project has been knocking around for so long (mid 90s I believe) that back then steam cats were the only game in town. Of course I don’t know anything about naval architecture and what it takes to install cats of any flavour. Would installing steam cats have been cheaper/easier than EMALs.
I would have thought that EMALS would take up less space than steam cats……..but that just me……..I assume traditional steam cat would need lots of “plumbing” as it were. And the would be the need of a plant to generate steam…….anyone know more about this?
