It’s a development of the An-72 so it is considerably wider than the Dornier as well as longer. It comes closer in size to an ARJ-100. If anything this looks like a ARJ-100 with just 2 big engines instead of 4 hairdryers. The tail has been modified most of all, removing the rear ramp.

I thought that was you, but did not ask for the same reason!
I was the only one not running for the DutchBird and the Transavia plane! 😀 Grey coat which is sligtly too long with a Sony F717. The other two dutchies I seen where carrying binos on a tripod, not me. Don’t have a bino.

In the Netherlands and Germany the official holiday started this weekend so lots of additional flights to and from the mediterranean. Most of the charterers have leased planes for the weekend to fly the additional tourists.
MP for instance also used G-BYAO, G-BYAN and EC-IZL from Spanair.
Dutchbird chartered an Air Slovakia 757, which is ironic considering they leased out PH-DBH to either Condor or LTU (I spotted it at DUS today).

Great shots, some of them look remarkably like mine! You may have seen me as I was also at the rail station today! I am still sorting throuh the photos but may show some later today. I left quite early because the batteries of my camera ran out, forgot to charge the spare battery.

For that price you’d think they would put the colours on the tail right. Is it me or is the light blue part wrong.

Really doesnt make any sense to be honest, I would have wanted them to get more boeing, that’d be their best option.
Makes no sense at first chlance. A 2nd look reveals the possilbe reason for it. The Skyteam alliance. CSA is a member of that airline and the largest European member of Skyteam is AF which has a large amount of airbusses. Alitalia is still rumoured to join Skyteam and they have more airbusses still.
As for CSA being totally Boeing… false. CSA has 3 or 4 A310s as well. Admittedly not the youngest of planes, but still going strong!
Why is it that whenever Airbus wins an order some people immediately claim that the order is obtained through political pressure and/or subsidizing?
