How dare you! 😀
It was quite easy. I opened my eyes, realised it looked the way it does and typed: U G L Y.
The planes that are used can always be changed. Maybe that at the moment you booked LH intended to use one plane, but that the got another plane instead because they sold more/less seats then expected.
Side-Looking-Airborne-Radar (SLAR) all right, check out this web site:
http://www.wsv.de/cis/aircraft/aircraft.htm
The same “bar” antenna is shown there.
Thanks. Must be a recent addition to the plane then, as I can not remember having seen that radar before.
I hear the Australians and Nederland people had problems with their Mirages..
The Netherlands never had any problems with Mirages. Then again, we never had them so that may explain it. Meybe you mean the Belgians, they had some Mirage IIIs years back.

Probably shopping, They had another logojet advertising the Dubai Shopping Festival March ’02.
AMS 26/06/2004. Usual layout, in bold the odd ones. The normal Dutch planes left out.

I have grown into the new livery of KLM. I like them better now than the previous livery, that looked too cluttered. Must admit though that it took some getting used too. Maybe you should see them for yourselve to get used to it.
The tristar has become semi-regular. They show up about once every week, I believe on the DCA flight. DCA used to hire a 767 from Sobelair, but with Sobelairs bankruptcy DCA has had to improvise.
As for the Austrian livery, well… it´s better than their old livery… let´s just keep it at that before things get nasty. 😉
i think the metal bar may be for radio transmissions
Isn’t that a bit too long just for radio transmissions?
and some more
final 2
Since the wind is coming from the west, and all runways in belgium are headed to and from the west, the aircraft approach slower:). But because the wind isn’t constantly, the planes hop up and down slowly:). Was in Antwerp today, after my one hour bus journey I found out I didn’t have any batteries in my camera. Quite remote area so couldn’t go buy others. Arr.
But the windy conditions really make strange approaches, especially on GA aircraft.
Just out of curiousity, when was Schiphol moved to Belgium? 😉
There has been very bad weather yesterdaynight and and the weather was still bad for a good part of the morning. This may have affected flying as well.
What has that man in the middle of the fuselage got to do with Wales? It think it’s kind of snidey the way that half the time it isn’t even in Wales.
He is carrying maps with the fastest route out of Wales. 😉
Seen from work in the final approach of Eindhoven. I regrettably do not have a photo.

Also seen a KLM Cityhopper F50 and a Ryanair but was unable to read the registration on both planes.
