50 pounds for a DVD player, in the Netherlands you get one for 50 Euro! Still 50% cheaper! Multiregion, plays DVD-R as well!
DVD-recorders for in the PC go for 250 euros! All from the main street warehouses. I don’t have the prices on hand for a seperate DVD recorder you can plug on your TV.
we got the same over here
Instead of Santa Clause coming with Christmas, we have Sinterklaas coming the 4th and/or 5th of December. Instead of Elves he has black servants.
Some people seem to think this tradition (centuries old, older even than Santa) insults immigrants and therefore want to make the black servants white.

With the 6-1 he means the score after both matches. 6 goals for us and 1 goal for them.

It is a genuine DC-4 (C-54 actually, but who cares ;)), owned by the DDA. Originally the idea was to get it into flying condition. Then the DDA bought the PH-DDS and decided to strip it for parts to keep the PH-DDS in the air. I don’t think this plane will be flying anymore. It would require some serious money.
There is a bus service to the museum. Line 148 in the direction of “Harderwijk”. The bus will stop at the airport after a 10 or 15 minutes drive. From the bus stop to the museum is a 5 minutes walk.
Opening hours for the museum are 10:00 to 17:00. During the summer season the opening hours are 09:00 to 18:00. Entry price for adults is 12,80 euro.
Don’t know about the flying museum. Over the years a lot of museums and organizations joined forces under the Aviodrome banner. They may have been absorbed.
As for walking around the airport. There are some places where you can come close to the ramp. I am not sure if you can walk completely around it. Never tried.

Well, are you agree with me the The Netherlands is going to win the Football (real football that is) European Championship?
NO
I am very sorry to say so, but I don’t think they will. Very often the Dutch squad seems to lack the will to achieve. Only when they really positively absolutly have to win they go for it.
Yesterday’s game was just the proof of that. They went for it, and slaughtered the Scots. The week before they where rather slow and lost.
When we saw De Boer after the first game he barely sweated! And he came straight of the field! No wonder they lost! That shows that they are not really commited unless it is almost to late.
I hope they will win of course, but I am most definately not betting on it. I couldn’t do so anyway as most of my friends and collegues agree with me! Its a boring bet if everyone bets on the same horse! 😀

Or maybe someone has a shed that’s a Stirling:D
Actually, a few weeks (months?) back that happened in the Netherlands. I believe it was a Stirling, but I might be wrong.
The shed was covered with plants so the owned did not realise his shed was a fuselage. It wasn’t untill he cleared out the junk from the shed that he saw he had something odd. A local historian recognised it and informed the local airbase (Twenthe?). They sent a team to salvage the “shed” and it will now be part of the airbase museum.
I used to think local public transportation was bad… and then I spend a year in London. Oh my…
Now I only think public transport in The Netherlands is bad during rush hours. Overcrowded and delays. Outside rush hours public transportation is really quite good!

Come on guys, its common knowledge amongst the civil enthusiast fraternity where they are going to end up.
The question is if BA knows that too? They have not been showing a lot of “common knowledge” recenlty! 😀
BTW, shouldn’t Singapore get one? Paint it back into joint BA/SQ colours?
