Never heard of Eagle Airlines. But I read that Alpi Eagles was going to re-start. Since your Fokker carries an Italian registration they might be one and the same?

Nice photo! You might want to send it to scramble. They like posting newsworhty Fokker shots in their magazine.

Perhaps the photographer was indoors and the patters are reflections on the windows?

Nice! I wonder if they turned up in the end? Hmm! A friend of mine lives in Belgium and mentioned they had storms so I wonder if they did in Holland too?

Lots of storms, in particular the southern half. I just came back from work and noticed several uprooted trees.

And the order is of the books again. (Dutch source only)

    http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?ID=35478

MOSCOW – Alitalia did not place a defitinive order for the Sukhoi Superjet 100. That announcement was made by Sukhoi. In the recently published annual report published by Sukhoi it said Alitalia had ordered 20 planes. “A mistake”, the company says in an official statement.

According to Sukhoi Alitalia should not have been listed as a customer for the regional airliner. Whether the Italian airline, 25% owned by KLM/Air France, has an interest in the Superjet is something Sukhoi won’t comment on. On the 19th of July the bi-annual Farnborough air show will start. Sukhoi promised they would announce more news on the SSJ-100 there.

With an order for the Superjet Alitalia would have been the first large western customer for Sukhoi. At the moment Sukhoi has sold 123 Superjets.

The potential interest from Alitalia for the SSJ is easily explained. The Italian aviation industry is closely involved with the development of the SSJ. Earlier ItAli Airlines already ordered 10 Superjets.

Yeh thats what i was thinking! Although the 787 would be more appropretie as in a few years 787s could well be operating from NCL for TOM. Thats of course if Boeing send the 787 to Farnbourgh dont think they have confirmed its attendance yet!

I thought they had? Cause it was also mentioned on the grape-vine that just before or just after the show the 787 would visit AMS on a sales tour to KLM.

MOL go get some brains please.

MOL has a great set of brains!

Every one with an interest in aviation knows that what MOL is bull. Standees are not allowed by regulatory bodies like the FAA/CAA/EASA/etc. Everyone with an interest in aviation knows that the 737-800 as operated by Ryanair are already at maximum capacity, adding in more seats is not allowed, again courtesy of FAA/CAA/EASA as well as Boeing.

So why does he spout this bull? For publicity of course. And once again he succeeded. He got his story in newspapers, thereby once more selling his line that he wants to do everything possible to make flying cheaper for their customers.

This ain’t worth the discussion, truth be told. I would expect this discussion on a blog or the site of a newspaper. A place where people come without an interest in aviation who will just buy MOL’s story. But on this forum I would expect everyone to know better.

To make matters even worse, this ain’t even the first time MOL raised the idea of a standing area. The idea of introducing a “pay-per-pee”* on the toilets is also old. This too was discussed by MOL earlier.

    * I hold full copyright claims to the term “pay-per-pee” (C). :p

But there are rumours flying round that were getting an A380 Flypast! From which carrier i have no idea!

Educated guess, NCL’s birthday is one day after Farnborough so if there is a fly-by I suppose it is most likely to be the Airbus demonstrator.

Indeed its going to be fantastic! Emirates are also sending at 777-300ER to Operate the EK036 NCL-DXB service on the same day! Should be on the ground at the same time as the BA 747! Im working that day looking forward to it!

Perhaps EK would upgrade to A380 when they hear BA bring a 747? Just to annoy the “home team”? ๐Ÿ™‚

What does EK normally use to Newcastle? An A330, or a 772?

    Very nice!

Where did you make these photos? I have been to STN once or twice and never had good luck spotting there. Is the place easily accesible by foot / public transport?

While there might be a small supply of Saab 2000s, the Saab 340 will come available in large numbers as Northwest/Delta is retiring them.

I always believe that LCY London City Aiport gave the BAE 146 a new lease of life

Iยดd even go so far as to say that LCY gave the BAe-146 a life to begin with!
