Saturday: Northwest 747 military charter, Aeroflot 767
Sunday as yet unknown.
Both days crappy weather.
Getting an A380 at AMS would be a first.
Purely from a legal point of view KLM can (at least by Dutch law) revoke the tickets. There is a law to protect companies from precisely such pricing errors. This law does point out that the customer should have been able to know this was a mistake. This does lead to a large grey area though, as the law does not mention specific percentages and/or numerical values. In this case however I feel confident that KLM could easily prove beyond reasonable doubt that the customers could have known that the price was in error. Especially considering that, according to the article, a statement was send out prior to the mistake that the prices would be increased with 40 to 80 NZ$.
Of course revoking the purchase will lead to bad publicity. Therefor more often then not a company will still agree to the original price. This could even lead to some good publicity. For instance through consumer watchdog TV and print media.
KLM claims that a lot of these bookings where made after the error was announced, mainly by industry insiders. If that where indeed to be the case I would revoke those tickets. However, I would keep the tickets purchased prior to the announcement, as well as tickets purchased by people outside the industry valid. Perhaps increase them a bit to cover the taxes and surcharges which after all are mandated (and verifiable!), but no more.
Touche sir,Touche..
There’s still time for you to change your “location” description on this forum. Your secret is still somewhat safe. 😀
Great stuff Pieter!
Glad you werent hurt in the crash and a shame you have gone from a MAN‘s car to a girly one :diablo::diablo::diablo:
Coming from someone driving a Vivaro, that means a lot to me. :diablo:
Strange how they have been arrested…for what, criminal damage?
Should indeed be for criminal damage. If I am not mistaken any unreported damage to a commercial airliner is automatically criminal damage.
It looks like the proposed German F125, initially criticized for not being desirable on the export market, may indeed have an interested customer. The Netherlands is mentioned as interested in the F125.
The Dutch navy is very NIMBY minded! There is a long tradition of buying Dutch designs. And why not, we make some of the best vessels around. Why would the Dutch navy go for the F125 frigate when we already got four “Zeven Provincien” frigates.
The UPS will hve been the WAW-CGN it leaves warsaw between 9:15 and 10am it then returns in the afternoon arriving in WAW around 5:15-6:45pm.
Sorry, I think you are mistaken about this flight. The MD-11 arrived around 14:50 at CGN. I must have just missed the arrival from WAW as I arrived at CGN around 11:30.
Do you know if there is a website with information on UPS’s flight schedules? I have been looking for quite a while to find out the optimal time(s) to go spotting at CGN, but never found anything.
SLEEEP….SPLEEEEEP. Your in a 747 cockpit and you want to SLEEP?!?!?!?!:D
Of course! The real life pilot experience!
I’ll get my coat.
FYI, if you are in the area tomorrow, KLM will bring use retro plane on the LHR KL1007/KL1008 flight.

Hey everyone.
Long time since i’ve posted some shots on here, was bored today so thought why not! The shots below were taken at MAN on the 15th October with my Sony point and shoot. The weather was terrible, so the shots aren’t the best!
Looks good, next time you are around here let me know (pref somewhat in advance). I changed departments at work, and should now be able to get a day of more easily then the last few years. Perhaps I will show you around the runway spots. Make you go so excited Paul will be laughing for months to come.
Nice photos and nice car!
The term Quiet737 on the Aviogenex (did not even know they where still around) is a bit of a misnomer! It looks like the plane is not even hushkitted.
I was passing through Amsterdam on Saturday and I saw what appeared to be a Martinair aircraft in a retro paint scheme. Can anyone confirm this.
PH-MCL, has been around for some time now.
Today (sunday) PH-BXA will fly KL1288/KL1289, that’s the EDI service with ETA 18:45 local time. Probably a bit too late for good light, but try to make the best out of it. The afternoon EDI flight KL1281/KL1282 will be with Embraer PH-EZA.
Aberdeen’s morning flight KL1441/KL1442 will be with Embraer PH-EZB. After that run it will go to Newcastle as KL0961/KL0962.
