They probably reserved a lot of space for celebration stories, so when Zenith won they had to scramble to fill space.
Having said that, if I had not had to work I would have likely flown over for the occasion! I would have gone to the mounds though, as the AVP faces the sun.
I’m going to upload a few to JP tonight, so can some of the more experienced photogs advise me as to which are likely to be accepted, so I don’t waste my time with useless shots.
Thanks for looking!
Comments, tips and criticism welcome!
Nice photos! Would like to go spotting at LTN again some day.
Here are some JP.net pointers:
1) Bit dull motive, but quality wise OK. Do level the horizon as the LTN control tower is not located in Pisa.
2) Should be OK for JP.net.
3) Not to sure of the motive. Either include the cockpit only, or include the plane up to and including (part of) the engine.
4) Like it a lot! At the very least try uploading this one!
5) The grass blocking part of the gear might kill this one´s JP.net chances.
6) Definately a no-no. You can clearly see the borders of the fence you shot through. Even a tight crop won´t deal with that.
7) Not to sure on this one. I think it suffers from the same problem as photo 6.
8) Definately same problem as number 6, but rear only. Maybe a tight crop at the cockpit area could work.
9) Too dark, lacking sharpness.
p.s. Congrats on making it through the exams! When do you hear if you passed them?
Excellent stuff Pieter, havent visited Eindhoven in ages, a great airport.
Who operates the Fokker 50F?
Ahh those pesky humans getting in on shots:dev2: you should shout them to shift out the way:D , can only tell you where to get off!!!, i shot a Messerchmitt ME109 on friday, the pilot and co were milling around, i asked them if they minded moving and they kindly obliged:)
Owned by Miniliner (Italy) but for the time being leased to and operated by Amapola Flyg (Sweden).
To make matters more interesting, the livery of the plane is actually MagicBird´s. MagicBird went bankrupt just after the first F50-F was delivered due to delays with the cargo conversion.
I’ve seen your Messerschmidt photos. But that’s a Me-108 or its French copy. Not a Me-109. I especially liked the black/white photo.
I am such a big GTA fan, but do not have a games console. Once the PC version comes out I will be one of the first to get it though!

Would this open the door for long-hauls from other carriers? BMI, Silverjet…
A dump or not, it certainly appears to be over loaded. Whatever BAA’s “£4 billion” will do to alleviate that remains to be seen…
All the 4b will do is move the bottleneck from the terminals to the runways/taxiways. It might be a more pleasant experience for the passengers (eventually, some day), but it won’t add more flights. Not during peak hours anyway.
But why cant FR buy EI yet LH can buy BD, regardless of what type of ”airline” FR are they are all companys whos main goal is to achieve a profit.
Because a combined EI/FR would pretty much monopolyse the Irish market. A combined BD/LH would not come close to monopolysing the LHR (london) market.
A318 venture?
Openskies is using 757s, correct me if I’m wrong..
BA is also about to start an opertion from LCY flying transatlantic. I am not sure if it has been confirmed that the A318 is to be used though. I believe BA are still considering the A319 as well because of its longer range.
Personally if you need eveidence of what will happen to BD if LH takeover look no further than LX and some other companys!!
In that case BD has a good future ahead. LX is doing quite nicely. Air One, LH Italian affiliate, is doing good as well and even made an offer for AZ with some other companies (there goes Air One ).
Aeroflot registrations – CCCP-xxxxx – can be rendered in “German letters”, but make different sense in Cyrillic, and Cyrillic is the real sense.
By international treaty (IATA I think) all registrations have to be a combination of greek letters and/or arab numbers. The soviet registration CCCP is allowed only because it is in greek letters. That it means something different in Cyrillic is just a lucky coincidence.
Can you not do so by internet at your bank? My bank, one of the largest Dutch banks, offers full internet services. I can check my accounts, arrange transfers etc.
A transfer from my savings to my current account, and vice versa, takes minutes. A transfer from my current account to any other account in NL, including those from other banks, takes an hour at most. Don’t know if a transfer to a foreign bank takes longer since I never do so.
The system is very secure. A random number generator is supplied to the account holder, and this generator only works with your bank card and PIN number. Any transaction has to be verified again with this generator. It is therefor as safe as a ATM machine.
It’s not just my bank either. All the large Dutch banks offer some or more internet services. Is this not as common in the UK?

Whilst on the face of it this can seem to be a tad crazy, but at the end of the day there is a need to protect the rights/ownership of artists. This also extends to other work, including photographs, artwork and the written word. All too often individuals “make free” with such property, and in the internet age in which we live it is all too prevalent. I for one am mightily peed off to find material I have written deliberately and blatantly plagiarised and re-used commercially. Frankly, its theft. I have every sympathy with musicians, or the PRS, who take the same line!
That’s why the radio station pays royalties to play the music. So if you are listening to the radio in a store, royalties will be paid.
