Just an external picture of an aircraft really.
The reason i ask is because when i purchase my new camera it’l come with an 18-55mm lens. I just wonder what shots are possible with it, untill i am able to get a 70-300mm for example

    Thanks

That depends more on how close you can get to the planes at your local airport, then on how good/bad the lense is! I could show you gorgous shots from the Kaagbaan, but if you are not able to see a 747 taxiing by at 40 metres distance, then a 18mm will do you no good.

Regardless, PM me your E-mail and I shall send a pic or two.

    Dear All

Could some please provide me with a commercial aviation picture taken with an 18-55mm lens. I don’t know if it is rare to take a picture with this lens but would be grateful if anyone could provide me with one.

Of course, the picture is for personal reference only.

    Adam

What kind of a picture? Close-up, cabin, overview. I do not use my Sigma 18-55 a lot since it is ****e, but have some photos with it.

When it went “to sleep”, how long ago did you last use it? The 350D has a power conservation mode that makes the camera go to sleep if you do not use it for some time (to be determined by yourself in the settings menu). All that is required to restart it is to press the shutter button, and wait for a sec or 2.

DISCLAIMER: This not an anti-american slur. Plenty of Dutch people live in trailers or other semi-mobile housing, and they aren’t exactly know for their fine taste or environmentalism either πŸ™‚

Or fine taste in anything else for that matter. Except for a fine taste in audio and video equipment, preferrably the equipment of others though. :diablo: :p

Democrats block increasing domestic production (Increasing refineries capacity) but that is blocked because they think it would unfairly help big business and add to global warming.

Capacity has been blocked for over 20 years. So why blame the dems when the last 6 years the reps have had full control? They could have legislated for a lot of refineries… did not happen heh?

Democrats block opening up more of the gulf coast for oil drilling; their excuse is environmentalism.

Look at it from the bright side…. in 30 years time you will be one of the only countries left with black gold. Just think what it will be worth then!

or are they afraid they might have their property values of their multimillion-dollar beachfront property go down because they might have to look at oil wells and ships?

Sounds like someone is volunteering to get a refinery in their back yard.

Are you sure you should not be at airliners.net non_aviation forums? πŸ˜€

    Cheers Pieter
Not really decent enough quality for publishing IMO, very poor lighting on the day. (wet behind the ears bit…. what is AFM?? )

AFM = Air Forces Monthly, the military publication of Key Publishing.

Cool shots, you might want to forward them to the AFM editorial staff. Chances are you’ll be printed. It is a rare plane!

The plane is designed to be jacked-up. As long as jacks of sufficient strength and power are used I do not see the problem. Never seen a plane get jacked-up this far though! The cases I have seen in person where always the length of the landing gear plus at most 30 cm or so.

Shouldn’t effect LCY as they’ll probably start the flying in the afternoon once the Airport has closed (it is closed from Saturday lunchtime until Sunday afternoon). I should think they’ll be well out of the way for the LHR approach over central London.

If that’s the case, then why build a temp runway and not use the LCY fascilities that are readily available.

Why is it new c/s etc seem to be rolled out in awful weather?! :diablo:

They just want to be consistent. Awful livery, awful weather. It’s all obvious when you start to think about it. :diablo:
