A very funny video indeed, you just couldn’t make the 3rd one up! 😀
Dash cams are popular in Russia for insurance purposes, but they also serve to record amazing moments – the recent Tupolev crash and meteor strike spring to mind.

Although rare, as people commented on the article, faults on new aircraft aren’t unheard of.
If there was a manufacturing or assembly defect on one of the components, it could fault at any period in its working life. Whether that be the delivery flight or retirement flight.
Well thank **** for that. Looks like someone at Iberia was just trolling with us? 😀

Well each to his own, I suppose – thank goodness we have so much choice these days thereby obviating the necessity to rely on the once fabled BBC!
There may be a lot of choice, I wouldn’t say any of the alternatives were as good though.
As troubled as the BBC is, it still beats the celebrity drivel ITV broadcasts or the childish crude live comedy on C4. Channel 5 is okay, just a little low budget.

If anyone’s interested? The closest asteroid pass on record will pass Earth at 19:00 GMT today (the Olympic swimming pool sized body will pass closer to the earth than the average geostationary satellite). Live NASA telescope Internet streams will be available.
Whilst most of the asteroids in the asteroid belt are well tracked and trajectories calculated, there are always a few that slip through the net – there are simply too many asteroids orbiting the sun to track every single one. Luckily for us, Jupiter’s high gravitational field attracts many of them that would otherwise hit earth.

One way or another mankind will perish, most probably from natural causes.
Or in a swarm of nuclear mushroom clouds 😀

Firstly, I can think of few Renault Lagunas capable of 125 mph.
You’d be surprised just how fast the average modern day family car can go when pushed to the limiter.

Erm, can someone clarify this for me? According to The Seattle Times, LOT will be keeping its 787s grounded until October at the earliest? Is this a journalistic error, or are the 787 problems really this bad?

Good news; more daily departures and US connections, I’m happy 😀
Interesting to read that Doug will become the new CEO, I naturally assumed Tom would. But it’s not necessarily a bad thing, what he’s achieved with US since the America West merger has been nothing short of amazing. I’m sure he’ll continue the success with the new behemoth.
I wonder where this leaves Star Alliance? They’ve had quite a few setbacks and departures over the past few years, meanwhile One World is growing at a rate of knots.
Shocked, I always thought KLM was overpriced… And now this! They’re hardly bridging the price gap with the LCCs, so it looks like it’ll be easyJet for me from now on (not that I’ve ever flown KLM much anyway).
What I’d like to see though is a charge on fatties. When I fly I’m often away for several days, so I like to take a checked bag. My bag and I probably weigh 14 stone, and I pay for the ‘extra’ weight of my bag. Yet an overweight (20 stone) man with no luggage gets a cheaper fare! How come I have to pay for my extra weight, but he doesn’t have to for his?
I’m surprised the Ryanair management haven’t tapped into this :diablo:
