Very low Chinook behaving strangely over Ampthill a few minutes ago.
Somewhat bizarrely, this hang-glider over my house about an hour ago.
And now one back the other way.
Apache east to west over Ampthill just now.
The media can’t even agree on the final transmission. According to BBC News it was “All right, roger that”, but according to Sky News it was “Okay, goodnight”. Not hugely significant in itself, but it does make you wonder how accurate any of the information we’re being given is, once it’s been mangled by the media. If they can’t even get a short quote right, what chance have they got with technical aviation details that they probably don’t understand.
Merlin helicopter, west to east over Sundon Hills at 17:37 tonight.
A pair of Chinooks a couple of minutes ago, east to west along the northern edge of Luton.

DH85 Leopard Moth in the distance to the north of Luton just before noon today. Looks like G-ACUS from the colour scheme.

And just now, what appeared to be a light military jet going in the opposite direction. Too high and distant for me to see what it was.
And a Merlin west to east, very low over Ampthill just now.
What looked to me like a pair of Pumas, over the A507 at the 101 roundabout between Flitwick and Ampthill, heading east to west, very low @ sometime between 17:05 and 17:10.
There was an open day (well, “Festival of Innovation” they called it) in 2009. I posted here at the time http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?94074-Wroughton-Pics-12-09-09
Oz.
Chinook west to east, over north Luton a couple of minutes ago.
Merlin helicopter heading west to east over Ampthill just now.
Chipmunk just did a quick circle above my office in Ampthill. Couldn’t see the colour scheme, but at a guess I’d say it was G-BCGC/WP903 from Henlow as that’s been over here before and it headed off that way.
