The seller mentions checking the prices against online catalogue store Spitspares, I have done and they seem a bargain!
Dont take it apart, the criss cross lines underneath the glass are normally painted with radium paint, therefore could be radioactive.
No worries on this Tommy, we are all a big family who share a common interest, look forward to helping you out on your next request!
Before everyone gets too carried away I just need to gently re-emphasise a couple of points made on the Briefing thread:
You have to pre-book to have a stand at the Aeroboot that runs alongside Cockpit-Fest – there will be NO pitches available on the day.
Also, at the request of the landlord a no trading restriction will apply to the taxiway car parking area!
Cockpiteers are OK to ‘operate’ from their display areas.
Are we allowed to swap parts and scrap metal in the car parking area, is the landlord okay with this?
I’ve been waiting ages for the answer Tommy, what happened?
Bus or Air Bridge?
Pound is very bad at the moment. 1.4
Can you be more exact with the date and time? I will check through my historic timetables.
Which Sunday and what time in the day are you taking off then, I may just know the answer?
God sake, these post are getting a bit painful and are watering down the quality of this forum are they not?????
The next question will no doubt be can anyone tell me which runway the Thomson flight from Manchester to Alicante will take off from on the 18th August 2012? and what will be the pilots name and how much frieght will it be carrying? Someone out there must know the answer surely? Come on it’s obvious!
Nice to see an old aircraft still with an aerial wire between fuselage and tail. Remains me of my spotting days in the late 70’s

Seem to be a friendly crew, not to mention the tight skirt
Do you have any pics for us forum members and how much are you wanting for the panels ££££’ss
Well the Viscount was a stab in the dark, who knows????
Brooklands museum in Surrey have a cockpit of a RAE Vickers Viscount, drop them a line or an e-mail and see what they think!

iit looks like its a black painted panel, but looking closely, its as if at some time its had a “dark grey” wash over it , but this has mostly come off, scratched to high heaven, and bent in the middle..
Right then, we just need the weight of the panel now and I think we just might be able to identify it…………………….
Tough one this, doesn’t seem to be a standard production panel of any type. Therefore could it be an adapted panel for the instruments to serve a particular customer or purpose. I’ve looked at it closely against the Vickers Viscount some similarities but not many.
I’ve had a chat with my friend at William Hill and he will accept an outsider bet on a RAE (Royal Aircraft Establishment) Vickers Viscount at 12-1
