Anyone know of any plans to celebrate this anniversary next year?
Will Delta Jets better the event they held for the 50th??????

The event in 2001 was organised by Kemble Air Services, not Delta Jets, but rest assured, we are already making plans for 2011, it just might have a Hunter theme 😀

    :eek::confused:
How so nige, and what’s up with the id change?

Just got the end of my tether with it all, I’ve got a young family and I am not getting any younger, so something has to give.
I searched for 4 years to try and find someone with electrical experience, but drew a total blank, the restoration could not move forwards without one.

The Meteor is a different beastie altogether, much of the restoration work can be carried out at home, instead of having to drive for an hour to get to Kemble.

The name change is purely down to removing the shackles that became the Buccaneer Society.

Been browsing through the new tome of Wrecks & Relics and noticed its reporting WS807 has moved from Staverton to Kemble (03/10) I’ve not seen this reported anywhere else and the forum search throws nothing up regarding this.
Has it happened or is it a case of a ‘post dated’ report in the book on the assumption it would have happened by publication, but hasn’t

Hi Mark, she has not moved yet, but she will be in transit soon, just have to get the Buccaneer sold, this will then free up the neccessary space required.

Go to your local mobile home or caravan site, and ask if they have any old ones for sale to be taken off site. I used to keep my plant gang happy that way very cheaply.

This is exactly what we do, we are in the process of obtaining a 30ft mobile home for the cost of delivery only, its dry, good chassis, only required wheels and a replacement tow bar, which were easy to find.

No Peter, she was roaded in from Kemble in 1995/6.

XX901 is a static only, the ECU’s are too far gone in terms of corrosion and damage.

This is the “Incident Bucc, XW543” after being stripped of useful spares.

Do you know if the stock of Meteor spares with Classic Flight (which I’m guessing may have come from Meteor Flight?) doesn’t have any.

I have a copy of the master spares list, it does not list any fire bottles.

I think he is basing the value on its rarity, rather than what it is actually worth.

Barry wants £4K for the airframe, delivery, of course, is extra.

Nigel: It seems from a quick google that they are known as the PPG these days (group not society?)

Google also throws up this place who may have direct contact with them as their cockpit section resides there?

PS: Are you going up-market then? :diablo:

Cheers for that Pete, nah, not going up market, just need some info.
